that is one of the things that got me interested in 3d printing, followed it since 2005. Still saving for one [An Up Plus 3d printer]. But instead of just sketching something, actually building it. And without the loss of fingers or skin on the smaller fidley bits. power tools are not my friend :D

there is a kickstarter link on the page i posted above. I think you could get one + plastic for $50 before but that supporter package has since sold out and the cheapest option now is $75 + more plastic.

finally got the 3d printer (Up Plus 2) and after a motherboard change got it working. very happy with it thus far :D
