The model that is being released is a Nissan GT-R not a Skyline. Nissan no longer makes Skyline GT-Rs. People always make the assumption that a GT-R is automatically a Skyline when that is no longer the case ever since the Skyline GT-R model was discontinued in 2001. Its a GT-R people, a GT-R!! *rant over*

Nissan Binaltech GT-R - I guess this is the silouette everyone was guessing at. Very happy to see there will be new BINALTECH molds. :D Although it will be interesting to see if they have learnt from past mistakes and release the toy in diecast or plastic.

I'm undecided on the GT-R at this stage. Not so much because of the car, but Takara did lose the plot a little with some of the later BT characters.

Repainting Skids as Broadblast (Blaster) not only made no sense, it denied us what could have been a great Ironhide toy.

BT Alert wasn't really much like Red Alert.

No, it's the GT-R, 350KW supercar, and looks like one too. And silver is its colour. No rice racer here, but a 911 turbo killer out of the box. ;)
