KFC not Ultra Magnus

Has there been any news on this figure since Has/Tak announced the Masterpiece version?
It looks brilliant, I hope it wasn't cancelled outright.

KFC's Slam-Dance was pretty awful so I am not too keen on KFC stuff unless there is a turn around.

I agree. I was excited for this UM until I got the 2 cassette combiners. Unless there is a dramatic increase in quality there is no way this will be worth what they ask for it.

I've clicked on this twice now expecting some kind of Kentucky Fried Chicken 'happy meal' toy. Now i'm hungry for hot n spicy... damn you melbourne :p

Just opened up my Mugen Vox and I suspect QC hasn't increased to the levels you'd hoped.

Still no word on price or quality though. Or coloured shots of alt mode. Still, he managed to keep that quiet.

hmmm from what I can discern from the pic, so it isn't a separate cab robot that combines with the trailer, but rather the cab folds in the trailer and makes the whole body into the robot. That's a good way to get around the bulkiness and armour getting in the way of poseability problem if it was made into a robot cab which is then fitted with the trailer as an armour. I wonder if Hasbro/TakTom are doing the same? Although I wish they do make the white cab transformable into a robot (on the official MP). Pretty bold of them to release this figure when there is indeed an official one coming. ;)

-the top of the trailer becomes the shoulder and arms
-the bottom middle of the trailer becomes the the thighs and folds into the legs at the rear of the trailer
-it looks like the bottom front of the trailer folds into the cab

I do prefer the white Optimus Prime inner robot with trailer armor style but from a design/engineering view its very nicely done.

I'm still getting MP Ultra Magnus over this though.
