Sorry you got stung Crankcase, as I'm guessing Paulbot is telling you about those being passed off as originals, when in fact they are both KOs. This is how to spot the fake Gen1 cars, using Wheeljack as an example... And for everyone looking to buy Gen1 toys - check out the five links we have here. And if that doesn't help, just ask us... someone might know.

if you got them a reasonable price it's not too bad, i'm not sure what actual misb originals would go for but i would think those original ones would be at least 350 - 550 each.. maybe more.
Crankster, I second G-rock's idea. Even if you got them at a reasonable price letting them know may change how they present their wares and force them to be more honest in future.
Latest TFsource article had a link. Down the bottom of the page they have some AFA graded misbs. Minus maybe $200 and you are probably looking at that price un graded.

I hope you can get your money back Crankcase. Always best to check with experienced board members when buying vintage, especially MISB.

You can open a dispute if the item is "significantly different" from what the buyer expected. This can sometimes be a grey area, but if the seller has represented the item as genuine G1 and not a reissue G1 or KO then I would think that there is a case.

I got some Transmutate pieces in the mail today.
Thanks guys, just done some investigation into the info that Paulbot sent and, yep they are KO's and I'm quiet annoyed. will be looking into opening a case against the eBay seller. Again thanks for the info from Paulbot and all of you that sent through KO info, will be a little more careful next time. guess one has to wonder why we as collectors have to be conned into these things , but as i see it i should have done a little more probing into the KO's than just jump in and buying it. kind of wondered why they were in such good shape and not that expensive.

Selling counterfeit items (which is what a KO toy is) is a violation of eBay policy. crankcase76, I would suggest that you report this seller to eBay and see what they can do to help recompense you for having your consumer rights violated.

Thanks Goki, read your post last night and used the link to report the seller as stated on eBay. Quiet upset that I didn't do more research into counterfeits, but hoping that I get a reply soon from eBay.

haven't stickered him up yet and don't know if I will. Maybe I'll give him some paint instead. His shoulders don't hold together as well as I would like, after posing the arms I sometimes need to squeeze them back together. The arm articulation allows for some very dynamic gestures. They have really positioned the hinges just right, even the mid-forearm one which allows for that extra movement but suprisingly doesn't look awkward unless you push it over about 45 degrees. The Arms Micron he comes with is an interesting little trinket but it certainly didn't make me want to invest in any more AM's. It looks silly on him so I leave it aside. Honestly the main reason I got AM Megatron instead of hunting down the Entertainment pack version is because I thought the Micron might go well with Voyager Megs, but it has a disproportionately long handle and looks like a massive protrusion.

Ratchet is a great figure. He compacts down very well into vehicle mode and his 'bot mode feels solid and has a lot of articulation. Highly recomended. My only complaint is that his collar forces his head to tilt when you turn it, but this can be rectified by taking a small stanley knife or other cutting impliment and shaving plastic out from where his chin bumps against the collar. Altogether I am very impressed. He is one of my favourite Prime figures.
