Geez that's a terrible photo of prowl

I'm only getting Prowl and I prefer show-likeness with my MP toys (that's also the reason why I bought Takara MP Soundwave instead of the soon-to-be-released Hasbro version), so these exclusive missile launchers hold no interest for me whatsoever.
I was initially gonna pre order on Amazon, then found out that HLJ's preorder price was cheaper (and at the time Amazon wasn't offering any exclusive stuff), so then I cancelled my Amazon order and went w/ HLJ. Ceebs to cancel HLJ and go back to Amazon! The beefier launchers look nice and all... but yeah, I can live w/o them.
Guess I am late to the game. Was gonna order them from AmiAmi but they sold out. Really cheap there too. It's a provisional preorder, so hopefully more will go up soon.
Might order from HLJ, but why do they not have pictures yet?
Decided to order from HLJ mainly because they were fairly cheap, about AU$47 each i think.
Never ordered from them before. So when they come in do i get an invoice to pay for them with paypal?
i usually preorder the MP from the HK store because they give you the coins and also include the amazon extra as well ... like the two extra cube with soundwave and the silver pile-drivers for sideswipe :)
I found HLJ shipping abit of a riot , unless you buy alot of items and combine shipping .
Japan Post has always been cheaper for larger items than smaller ones. That's why I often buy stuff from Japan, but have it sit around for a few months and then get the whole thing sent off to me in a single hit - makes postage a lot cheaper per item than if I had them sent off to me individually. Just last weekend I had a package sent to me with both MP Cassette sets and 3 Arms Micron toys. It means more waiting (which is frustrating), but it saves me money. :o Japan Post was privatised during the Koizumi administration, which has increased costs, but also made their service more efficient too (as well as reducing govt spending/debt).
But yeah... the trick to saving money with getting stuff from Japan is to get stuff sent in bulk. :)
Just a warning when pre-ordering from HLJ that there's a good chance you'll still miss out as they've recently screwed me on BOTH MP-15 and MP-16.
The worst part is they don't bother to tell you that they're unable to fill your order. The only way you know is when you don't receive the parcel, by which time everyone else has sold out or jacked up their prices to meet the demand.
When I emailed them to see what was going on, they basically said "If you don't like it, cancel your order and buy it elsewhere."
I've personally never had any problems with HLJ. :o <knock.on.wood>
Dang, I always hate these bad stories about online retailers I've used in the past. Always makes me slightly scared about ordering from them again.
Personally I haven't had any issues ordering from HLJ (MP Grimlock, a bunch of Revoltech transformers).
I've ordered MP18 and MP19 from RK, so I'm hoping they do well. Only issue with them is that they charge you straight away rather than when the stock comes in.
The worst part about it is that I've been a customer of HLJ for the last 10 years and I've never had reason to doubt that I would get an order until now, so unfortunately the trust is gone. I'll still probably buy in-stock items through them, but when it comes to high-demand figures I'll be going elsewhere to secure them.
Of course I'm not saying people shouldn't pre-order MP-17 & 18 through them, just suggesting that it's wise to have a backup plan. :)
That's fair enough. I've used HLJ intermittently for the past 10 years too and I personally haven't had a problem.
I wonder if I should cancel my HLJ order and just go with Amazon Japan. They're now offering a pre-order discount and of course I'd get the exclusive launchers... hmm... tempting.
I think I like the look of these guys better then the other Lambor and Red Alert figures. Might get Prowl, not sure about the others
I just noticed on the Amazon.jp site that Prowl now has an August 31st release with Bluestreak... it originally had a July release, a month before Bluestreak. More time to save for it, but now a bigger hit at once.
Maybe they just had the release date wrong as I've only ever read August '13 (what I've put in my sig).
man sucks that this is going on. I've heard of the delays with Mp Soundwave. I have my first order of MP Prowl with HLJ after lots of recommendations to use them. Now i'm a bit worried. THeir price is fantastic on the preorders so hopefully there are no problems.
Possibly. The first dates known were from BBTS, who had Prowl for July, Smokescreen for August, and Bluestreak for September.
Now though, Prowl and Smokescreen are later by a month, and Bluestreak is earlier by a month... and BBTS have changed their dates to match.
Looks like Tigertrack has maintained its June release date, so that hasn't changed.
Further delays.
Prowl now slated for September, Bluestreak in October. No word on Smokescreen.
Dang. :|
I don't mind... gives me more time to save. ;)
May be an issue for Kapow toys in the UK - Robot kingdom haven't altered their arrival time, still August
http://www.robotkingdom.com/services...lang=us&CatID=
Fingers crossed they don't either, my preorder is with RK :)
Edit: just checked HLJ and Anime Export, they both have the release date as August, but on HLJ the date is 31/8 (cutting it fine!) and both stores have sold out their preorder so we may see a change of release date a bit later.
Wow...it going to be a pretty busy time with metroplex coming out about then as well.... at least this give us time to save up....:)
Gives me more time to save. I hope this hasn't been delayed though
http://images.toywizard.net/0001/201...iger-track.jpg
that is the Tokyo Toy Show exclusive Tiger Tracks!
Good thing I pre-ordered that on the advice of my supplier...:p
Looks like a custom to me. Colour scheme on robot mode of the toy its based off looks incorrect
http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...67&mode=retail
It is a custom put up on TFW a while ago. It's being misused heaps to trick people into thinking it's the real thing. (Though it sort of gives an indication as to what one would look like;))
I'd be one of those people saying 'at least this gives me more time to save' if it weren't for the fact that I've already paid for it :o Just hurry up already!
Bad news dudes, this just popped up on RK's facebook page.
Amiami also have the preorders for Prowl and Bluestreak listed as late September and late October respectively.Quote:

When I was looking on the Amazon.jp site last night for the JP release (RK would get the HK release), they still had August 31st for both... so when they update their release dates, I'll know for sure it is official.
Although, the dates should be the same for both JP and HK...
Noooooooo (Darth Vader moment:)). RK has updated their actual website release date now as well
I wonder what the reason for the delay is? Was it the spelling of "Patrol" on Prowl's doors, or maybe they just realised they got the scale all wrong:

I wonder what a lifesize generations Metroplex would look like?
It's not unusual for MPs to be delayed. Soundwave was delayed 6 weeks. Rodimus about a month...
Yep....just wait... I believe they will be worth the wait.
Still trying to get hold of a pre-order for tigertrack though
A couple more images from TakaraTomy of Prowl and (Blue)streak, showing off a little of their articulation.
It looks like Prowl has ditched the patorol for patrol! I can't wait for these two to be released - for me, Prowl epitomizes G1 Autobots (that aren't Prime of course), narrowly beating out Jazz and Sunstreaker. To finally have a MP version is going to be fantastic :)
