He needs his infamous null ray arm cannons!!!
That new Starscream looks wicked. Love the design!
There are some people who don't like it because it has very clunky and awckward looking legs which makes him look heavier than more sleek.
I understand and share in their criticism but I still think that having a new Starscream design that succesfully manages to portray the character is enough for me even if it has flaws.
Wow loving the new Starscream! cant wait to play him in the game and get his toy hopefully it looks awsome!
i so dont want to be dissapointed by this game *hopes*
Saw the Gameinformer magazine on sale at my local newsagency so I bought it. Turns out it was only $4.95 and #1 of the Aussie issue. So far from what I have read, it looks ok and it has an article on the R18+ rating issue for games too.
Originally I just wanted to look at the picturs myself..:p
War For Cybertron (WFC) update - a 'new old' look, different to Bay's version.

Another WFC update, including podcast interviews -

I don't like that Podcast. It has deemed my enthusiasm for the prospect of a good story. They seem to be using the G1 cartoon as the only source of story and character ideas down to the 'Decepticons Retreat!' story template. I don't want another AHM abomination in video game form.
I am not sure if its just Gameinformer or the Developers of the game but they sound as if they are trying real hard to be 'fans' when at best they have passing knowledge of the franchise with all their information limited only to the G1 cartoon.
I think they seem fine - they're only making a computer game, it doesn't matter if they can't name any of Arcee's great nephews as long as it plays well. They're not as ignorant as Pat Lee was when he got hold of the franchise and they're better artists. As countless people have said throughout history, "don't worry, it's just a game!" ;)
I disagree. I don't know if you play games but the most satisfying story narratives and characters that I had this decade have been from video games not TV or films. Therefore I expect a good story and hold the medium to higher standards than modern cartoon episodes and even movies in that regard.
If it plays well but has a bland story then its disapointing for me and may as well be multiplayer only. It has to be both to succeed.
Has this been definitively stated? I know it's been said that this game is set before the Transformer's arrival on Earth, but I didn't think that they had put put this into the G1 cartoon universe.
The current rumour is that this game will tie in with Hasbro's future plans, laying the ground work, and setting the scene for future stories that are too be told, while also exploring a "previously unseen look into the history of the Transformers" (if you forget about The War Within and/or Megatron Origins and/or War Dawn...).
Hasbro's latest round of Q&A seemed to mention that they were looking at properly defining a few of the so-far poorly defined features of TF-lore such as brothers/cousins, after-life, continuity, etc. So looking back on the history of TFs would seem to fit with that mentality, but I personally think that it wil be the history of the yet-to-be-announced new series that they're currently working on for their Discovery Channel venture.
Technically so is Beast Wars but the comics were more than acknowledged in that series.
How canon this game is to the next main TF line is a bit in doubt after the last Pod cast. They addressed it and they sounded skeptical on Hasbro's announcement. It seems that the term 'canon' is being lossely thrown about for marketing reasons.
