Yeah, I don't know whats happening here.
Apart from a massive scale violation.

You want scale violation? Go play with Beast Machines (oh, look at how Blackarachnia towers over Silverbolt... and little ol' Nightscream is HUUUUGE!)
:p :p
+1 QFT :)
Best 1990s TF gestalt EVER. The only toy that I would compare it with since would be JRX (which of course came out in 2000, so post-90s) and Legends Class ROTF Devastator (who's a pretty neat gestalt at Legends scale). Tripredacus craps all over the Energon gestalts and ROTF Combiner Class Devastator would have to be the worst gestalt ever made. The McDonalds Armada Happy Meal Autobot-gestalt is a better toy that ROTF CC Devvie!
So I was thinking about combiners/gestalts over the weekend and thought the car bots should get a combiner. So I started to mess around with my United TFs and came up with this. He still needs a head though. What do you think? I know the arms/hands arent ideal...

That's a very good effort VGM, the torsocould use a bit of bulk, mebbe use Kup for the torso, then use both Wheeljack and Tracks for the arms, head wise, well, if you find a junker Primus or Sup. Starscream, those heads would fit nicely attching it though is another matter I leave up to you hehehe.
@Paul Agnew: yah beat me to it mate! I was getting that vibe the moment I saw it.
The concept for the legs is genius! great mis-transformation. i'd love to see this with W/J and Tracks as arms and maybe a classics Prime or U/M as the body. i'll be trying this for sure.
(is that a united blurr?)
Bumblebee, transfooorm!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22..._transform.jpg
Believe it or not, but it took me hours (over two evenings) to make that image. I obviously took several photos of Bumblebee at various stages of transformation, but because I wanted to have him "leap" into alt mode, it required some visual effects. And of course, the most advanced graphics program that I'm capable of using is MSPaint :p :p -- so it was pretty tedious trying to remove the box which held Bumblebee up in mid air! (phwoar!)
Here are some unmodified shots of what some of the photos looked like before I removed the box:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...transforms.jpg
And close up pics of Bumblebee:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...nsform_bts.jpg
It's not the first time I've used MSPaint to remove supporting props to create the illusion of a toy being in mid-air. Some older attempts have been:

thanks for the comments guys. You guys are MUCH nicer then the "people" over at TFW2005.. bunch of jerks. Got nothing but negative comments, no constructive criticism or anything else, just how ugly it is and basically telling me I shouldnt try this again.
I didnt have Kup at the time. I just got him yesterday. I was looking for how to improve it, so thanks to you liegeprime for your suggestions. I just threw it together over the weekend and used what I had. But I do agree the arms/hands do look scary. haha.
Thanks MindsetOVerhaul. Ive gotten a few comments about the legs. They are my favorite parts as well. :)
I have since took it apart. All those negative comments from the other place brought me down. They really are vicious over there...
Good to see Scourge getting out and about Goki! :p:D
That has some rather interesting potential VGM.
- I agree with Mindset that the use of Drift and Blurr for the legs is simply genius and pull of a really cool aesthetic
- Liege is spot on too about using Wheeljack and Tracks for the arms as he is slightly lean on the Torso side of things and if you don't happen to use Kup maybe you could use one of the 'Lambo Twins' - Sunstreaker or Sideswipe as they've got a bit of bulk to 'em! ;)
- Lol I have to agree with Paul on the Puzzler reference because if you can manage to paint them accordingly I think you'd have an incredibly unique custom dude. :D
Looking forward to seeing where you go with this guy man, as for a head? - How about Tidalwaves? :o
Hey no probs... we like to foster creativity here:D:D:D:D..... vicious ei? I think that's an understatement :p;), keep us updated on this project. Ive always wanted to see a gestalt of the Autobots since I saw that episode when they faked Menasor in G1. Then when its done we can all think of names to suggest for this new behemoth :D:D:D Im quite intrigued how you attached them together... very creative on the legs!
liegeprime, that episode was wicked! masquerade!(?) too many hilarious moments to derail this thread with.
as for head suggestions; i love a fresh bash and will happily donate either universe dropshot, cybertron quickmix or RID buildking to your project if you go through with it. quickmix and buildking are probably the right size whereas dropshot is maybe a bit small. VMG, if you get stuck for donor heads drop me a PM
I think the big problem you have are the upper arms. What you really should look at is keeping them in vehicle mode and building some arm/shoulder kibble. As it stands those upper arms simply don't look right- partly because they don't match and partly because they don't work on their own as articulated arms (no classics deluxe figure is likely to tbh as they haven't been designed to be).
That said, with some bulk on the chest as well, the idea has real potential, keep it up :).
TFP Starscream. Lanky, and ever so good at tempting hapless Autobots.
http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...o/IMG_0652.jpg
I have to agree with the others, the legs are brilliantly done, some vry nice thinking outside the box. I wouldn't expect that you'll have any classics that would make good arms as mentioned above but at the same time I never would have thought you would find anything suitable for legs.
Keep up the great work, and keep us posted. for a torso I'd suggest moving towards a voyager size, which is either prime or magnus I guess. that would provide more bulk. unless you could use the ultra hardhead.
there's a little headmaster potential there too.
And here I thought you were going to use gravity effects, like tacking the scene background to the ceiling, having the "ground" hang off it at 90 degrees, and suspend the toys from the ceiling with thin black thread which would be completely concealed from the front (underneath) when the photo was taken.
I like It!!! You could always add a chest shield to add bulk or maybe a 6th vehicle to fit over Tracks. I think if your worried about the arms being a bit vague you could just get some large hands from somewhere (like on every other g1 combiner)
As it is atm, it kinda reminds me of Gobots monstrous (talking about arms only) where the arms could be separated at the elbows to form 2 sets of pincers per arm. Looking forward to seeing how it ends up.

Yup. :)

...her first of hopefully many more Transformer photos to come! :)
Funny story about this picture... when I was taking that photo of TF Prime Optimus Prime in robot mode with the gun pointed toward the camera, my daughter kept on trying to shove Rescue Bot Optimus Prime into the shot! She wanted me to take a picture of both Primes, but I only wanted to take a picture of one... so she had her Optimus Prime lined up next to mine, but of course, I only really photographed TF Prime Optimus Prime -- but here's a less cropped version of the photo where you can see Rescue Bot Optimus Prime trying to be shoehorned into the photo!
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y22...rime02_del.jpg
It was after that I decided to let her take a photo of Rescue Bot Optimus Prime herself! Of course, she needs to learn to not touch the lens with her grubby fingers!!:eek:
Mucking around with Junkheap today, I made this up. :p

@Goki: Your martial arts knowledge really is to your credit when posing figures dude, with the right camera angles and lighting you'd have some truly exquisite shots man. ;):)
(Not that these aren't any good, as I know they're more utilitarian than arty )
Cheers Hursti. :)

nice photos Goki and Deceptic.
I cant wait for my Prime Prime to arrive...
included are some shots I did with Arcee from TF:Prime.
As soon as I got her, I noticed her wings weren't show accurate. Bothering me, I tried to make it a little more like the show, and the fact her shoulders werent showing...
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-I...0_204630-1.jpghttps://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-T...0_204621-1.jpg
I then fiddled with her and for some reason I though of Thrust from Beast Machines...
So I came up with this.

midget Arcee.. haha!
VGM out...
@VGM: Sweet shots man, I know what you mean about those shoulder plates being a little oversized too as her shoulders should be showing.
I also like the the BM take on her; indeed the fact that she's able to pull that off makes me think that the engineers had some thought of the movieverse Arcee in mind when designing her, I much prefer version 2 too. ;):)
