TV broke yesterday. I hate buying TVs. On one hand I only want a cheap one that looks half decent. On the other hand, I'll walk into a store and see a shiny one with sharp pictures and want it.

Keep in mind that most panels are made in the same factory, it's the supporting hardware and software that makes the big difference.Quote:

The one that just broke was a Samsung. It lasted 7-8 years. Would by one again.
But fortunately I won't have to. Getting a hand-me-down from the mother in law. Nothing fancy but it'll do. The main purpose of the tv these days is to play the likes of The Wiggles, Hey Duggie, Teletubbies and Curious George on endless loop anyway.

PS, I also really liked Lost in Translation, the bit where they're filming the advert and the director is speaking for a long time in Japanese and Bill's character asked what was said, and all that was said was "to turn to the camera and smile" Ha ha ha ha! Funny

Heh my Sony CRT is still going too, was purchased in 2005, its done a couple of thousand KM's and been dropped several times. My wife wants to upgrade but my excuse is that the Sony is working fine and there is no way in hell that the little guy will ever knock it over :DQuote:
