Depends on your expectation of what you need it for. For a basic tablet and the price, it's ok for me. I liked it better than the 7" version.
evangelion 2.0 you can (not) advance Completed records. Six kilograms of nicely boxed books and story boards
Picked this up today to replace my current tv...
http://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-lcd-led-...tv-sku-347803/
I did manage to haggle $60 off that price... the good thing is this is compatible with my wii u as in the screen fits unlike my old tv!:)
Can you put a picture of this up please , would like to see whats in the collection ...6kg!! The shipping cost must of been high!
That a nice tv and you manage to haggle $60:eek: what a bargin....is the wii u any good to actually play with for long hours?
I havent had the chance to play the wii u for a heavy gaming session as there is no game out there that has sparked my interest to actually do so. But i did buy batman arkham city armored edition and intend to play that out for a while. Waiting on new zelda, mario kart, fire emblem games.
I try the wii u in the store and it was quite heavy the controller , so just wondering if it did affect after long session...and does the screen thing actually get used when playing or just a gimmick ...And your right there no killer game out that worth it for me to get it right now...
Heavy controller? You sure they didn't weigh it down a bit so it wouldn't get flogged? The Gamepad is quiet light for it's size and for it's components. It's actually not much heavier than an XBOX controller.
It does feel weird at first coz other controllers are smaller and more comapct. And as for long gaming sessions, it's not like you hold it up towards the screen, you just rest it in your hands or lap like you do when using PS3 or XBOX controllers.
As for the screen, depending on the game, it can either be used partly in game as an in-game menu/pasue menu, map, and some games have off-screen play, which means you can play the game on the Gamepad screen alone. This is good if the wife or kids want to use the TV, or you want to play in bed or elsewhere in the house. I also installed Netflix on my Wii U so i can watch TV show and movies on my Gamepad. Great stuff.
Courtesy of the very generous Paulbot; I received all these yesterday, eliminating many a poor quality .Mp3 and greatly expanding my collection of Aqua .Mp3s in the process! :D

Just received my order from JB HiFi's current "Horror Movie Sale"; 24x Films in total with many being LONG time favourites that've been upgraded from DVD and a handful that I didn't previously own, Halloween is going to be in HD this year! :D:cool:

^This may sound a little strange, but... I don't think that the Toy Story collection really fits in well? Then again, it probably would be scary if Toy Story were to happen in real life... :p
Nice collection, and lots of classics I see. Enjoy your Halloween viewing, I hope you survive it! ;):D
Perhaps, if you were a "rat-bag" of a kid like Sid anyway. :p:D
My 1st introduction to Horror films was Stephen King's - "The Graveyard Shift" at about 6 or 7 years old, so I reckon I should be able to survive. :DQuote:
Nice collection, and lots of classics I see. Enjoy your Halloween viewing, I hope you survive it! ;):D
(I 1st saw "Aliens" when I was 4 or 5 but I think of that more as a Scifi ;))
Picked up vol.1 of Samurai Pizza Cats. I remember seeing it from the middle to the end hope still holds up :-)
Picked up a pair of Goosebumps Bookends, for a Pound, via eBay UK:

 the tomb look good.... how is it? is there lots of stories in there? And also how the stories them self ...i never actually read any of his books at all...
Cheers! :D
It does look good doesn't it? - The ad said that it was a Hardcover & Leather-bound Edition, so at $30 (23% off thanks to a "Halloween Sale") I just couldn't turn it down.
Much like yourself, I've never read any of H.P. Lovecraft's work either but have heard the name & seen numerous references to it throughout my life, in various forms of media.
So I thought it was high-time that I take a look into the Lovecraftian world and this particular volume seems to present a good serving of tales, as it collects, amongst other things, all of the original Cthulu stories!
It's the concept of the "Old Ones" or "The Old Gods" that have courted my curiosity the most with Lovecraft (Along with my deep affinity for the Supernatural, Mythological, Occult & Horror) and is the main driving factor of this purchase. ;)
In all it seems to collect 37, or so, of the stories that Lovecraft published through the various Sci-fi magazines of his day - I can't wait to start delving through them so once I have I might follow this post up with a bit of an update. :)
Awesome Hursticon, as a kid in primary school when goosebumps were huge, I had collected every book. Until one day I decided to offload them to a mate (who I don't see any more) after I read all of them. I loved the covers on their book and preferred the choose your own adventure stories.
Hehe :D,
Yeah, I used to borrow many of them to read from a friend, only had a couple myself, but never really did read every single one - You're dead-right about the covers though as they were a major draw factor for me also.
The "You choose the scare" style books were certainly an interesting twist, at least that's what I thought back in the day :p, I only think I read a couple of those - I sort of preferred the normal style more. :o
The Amazon itme s thread has helped me in my search for good value baseball gear.
http://i1123.photobucket.com/albums/...pscebad3ab.jpg
some slinky shorts, brand new baseball cleats(though buy the time of this photo they have already seen a game, not quite as shiny as they were the day before:D) baseball pants and a pair of sliders. all shipped for about $190 when the shoes alone would have easily cost that much here.
for anyone wondering what makes baseball cleats special:

Eastbay just had a sale last week. 20%off or something :) Don't know if it'll be cheaper than amazon though
Got my Neodrop today!!
Very cool little toy.
It was a Kickstarter thing. A friend and I both ordered them. I got lucky and got a good unit, his isn't as high on the QC chain.
There's no point in me posting photos of it, as they don't really show what'd cool about it.
Check out the vid in the link to see it in action. (It's under 2min).

Very pleased with it, and it matches my coffee table perfectly, which is always a plus.
It's quite fun.
Mine is great. My friend was not so lucky. But even though his is a dud, he's still really happy with it considering it was only $30.
And it's a nice bonus that it complements my coffee table perfectly.
that really is a cool concept. very tempted to get one of my own.
what is it about your friends that's not quite up to scratch?
The fit and finish on his aren't nearly as polished as mine is. His is really rough. Also, his magnets weren't glued into the metal handles (easily fixable, but he has to buy a certain type of glue to do it).
He said that his looks like a prototype of mine, and he's right. Side by side, you'd think his was a test shot of mine.
Even with those issues, he's still happy with it.
Unbelievable.
Less than two minutes later BOTH my magnets became unglued. One is stuck inside, and they're very strong, so that's going to be a pain to fix.
Looks like I'll need to borrow his glue.
Nabbed an ipad air today. Mostly for the wife, but i will be commandeering as necessary :P Not particularly happy with the price of the damn things but meh, it was fun lining up this morning!
On Thursday my Amazon music order arrived!, containing the following albums:

Fear Factory's - "Obsolete" (Digipak)
Nine Inch Nails' - "Pretty Hate Machine" (2010 Remaster)

Gave all of NiN's studio albums a solid listening a month or so ago (via YouTube) & noted down all that REALLY hit me in my musical tastes, they now accompany my previously sole "The Downward Spiral" CD - Really digging these tunes. :D:cool:
Huge NIN fan.
Was lucky enough to see them at Big Day Out years ago.
I like the new album too. The reviews seemed a bit mixed, but it works for me.
I also recommend the live DVD they released. It's great, and the rendition of 'Right Where It Belongs' with the projected images playing behind them is just magical.
It's called 'Beside You In Time'.
Dropper post for my mountain bike arrived today. I'm very excited to get this as it makes downhilling a bit easier and more exciting. It was a birthday present from the wife but took a while to organise :D
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7451/1...3e8844ee_b.jpg
Also got some spiffy knee pads which are also for downhilling. And no, i'm not wearing any pants in that photo. It was Friday arvo and I just got home from work!:p
