Most impressive. I'm not a fan of rampage's rear legs in alt mode. They are too thin. I'm sure ill get over it though.
Man the MMC one looks like he on the steroids !! the before and after shot.... :D
damn im broke...
Yeh not liking MMC Rampage's hind feet. Too small and weasly for such a beefy figure.
Geez it's a hard one... MMC vs UT. Both designs are great in their own way. Might have to come down to $$$ for me ...
Are they going to release this as a set or just individually ? Or which way would be cheaper?
It's... so... beautiful...
I still like the nasty hands on UTs version, but my God that MMC version looks brutal.
It would be MMC for me
I'd love a giftset with brilliant box art from MMC, but that is not enough for me to risk the chance of not getting them. It's just a different case to as when MakeToys was releasing G2 Yellow Giant ahead of Green Giant - everyone knew a Green repaint had to be on its way, and the box art was just the bonus.
Also, demand for third-party not-Predakings may be further diluted from UT's release, so this may affect MMC's decision on releasing a second run.
So your saying that not a lot of ppl would want mmcs due to uts release?
I have to wonder about that sincw mmcs is a lot better looking IMHO.
So in essence I shouldnt wait for a box set and juat get these as they come out then.
Humm that will be hard on my wallet. Haha.
Just referring to the rate of diffusion. If there was only one product released to market, the only choices for consumers would be to buy now (early adopters), or wait for more information and buy later (late majority and beyond). i.e. The original market reaction to Steel Core was mixed, but after the reviews came out, enough fans jumped on board to push prices to $250-300 on evilBay :)
In regards to third party not-Devastators, how many fans are out there that can afford both TFC's and Maketoys's releases? Whilst the better looking product is debatable, a person that's pretty set on obtaining one mould will have to make a choice between (at least) 4 options:
1. Buying product A now
2. Buying product A later
3. Buying product B now
4. Buying product B later
NB: Just my limited understanding of first year marketing, but feel free to debate!
The one on the left, by Mastermind Creations, is available on BBTS (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/s...rch=mastermind). Just realised that they have raised the prices on both Talon and Bovis - both increased by $15ea to their full RRP's. As there are two competing companies producing the same character, both had been making price cuts for early pre-order-ers. If you keep an eye on this thread or Seibertron/TFormers, you might find the pre-orders for the next 3 at a special discounted rate too.
With SO many other bots to purchase over the coming months, I took a look at my budget over the aforementioned period & sadly came to the conclusion that I just had to drop a preorder (or 2)...
With great reluctance it had to be the 1st 2 Feral Rex limbs :o, I REALLY want this beast but with yet another 2ft tall transforming robot figure on the horizon? - Something had to give. :(
I'll be following MMC's progress with these guys closely though as good grief are they shaping up to be utterly amazing!?!
I'll install a sneeze guard over mine and then you can drool all you like ;)
But in all seriousness this is becoming a bit of an issue. there is simply TOO MANY TF related products on the horizon. I'm in the same boat as you Hursty but my cuts are happening in different areas. Weirdwolf will be my last FP Headmater purchase which is a real shame and I have had to hold back from the ToyWorld not-Throttlebots much to my disappointment.
It doesnt help that TT are ramping up MP production either.
1st world problems huh?:)
Oh you evil bastard!, I'll provide my own bib. :p:D
1st World problems indeed :o, it is certainly becoming a problem in that we're sort of now spoiled for choice; Quadruple U (Weirdwolf) is my last too, that is until they put up preorders for Skullcruncher & Mindwipe but yeah - Thankfully there is next to nothing 'Mainline aka Prime/Beast Hunters" that is really interesting me at all, as I've lost all interest in their Dragonformers sadly. :(Quote:

Meh, not so sure about the size of them to me. Yeah sure, it justifies price a little more but they're so BIIIG!!!! :p;)
He's a bit thick in the ankles/feet too, but still pretty impressive. :D
Mastermind Creations have released colour images of Leo Dux
http://www.mastermind-creations.com/
Their main website is back online but it's not much more than a portal for social media widgets.
edit: and colour pics of the feral rex crew and 2 arcee repaints.

Yep, that's pretty much how I'd put it!
These all look bloody terrific, making it hurt all the more that I had to drop my preorders for the 1st two :(; I get the very real feeling though that these guys are going to be worth the circa $500 it'll cost to procure a complete Feral Rex ;), I just hope they don't all sell out too fast so that within the next 6 or so months I may pick them up 1 by 1. :o
The Azalea/Zinnia mold looks pretty bloody awesome too, but as I've no need for an Arcee I might just have a reason to pick up my first Paradron Medic!:D
Cheers for the heads-up & pics CBratron. :)
The site also has silhouetted images of Eupatorium and Salvia Prominion which also seem to use the Arcee mold judging by their feet and legs.
All of them seem to be priced around $50.
You might want to factor in the additional $75-95 plus shipping (base cost under the assumption that they decide to do another discount) for the optional 6th member of the group, although it just appears to be a remould of Tigris with guns. If it is a remould, then at best it will be a stand in for one of the other arm-figures. Not sure how I feel about a really expensive bench warmer (my weaker instincts just say BUY IT ).
It's said to be an exclusive for Planet Steel Express (which makes me think of Planet Express) - anybody purchased from them before?

Hmm, in regards to the (not) Arcee molds, Azalea, Zinnia and Eupatorium I understand, but Salvia Prominion??... is that a new species found only on Cybertron? :p
That Azalea mold looks nice, very tempting.
Elita with a bow and arrow yes please. The prototype shots for Azalea look great.
I wish igear/mgt would do the rest of the girls, but that project's probably dead. :/
Heaps of new pics up at TFW2005 and tformers.com.
Shots of the resin prototype of Rex - it's kinda floppy but it looks good nonetheless.
Honestly the more I see of MMC's Predaking the less and less impressed I am. I realise he's sagging because the resin can't hold the weight of the the plastic limbs, but his overall aesthetic doesn't appeal to me. He's far too bulky (fat).
Wasn't going to be picking this guy up anyway (too poor) but I don't think I'll be having any regrets.
Vangelus has put up a couple of vids from the "CP3P: Hotel Room Show" :p -
Here's a look at Azalea.
Vangelus has just put up a look at Leo Dux. :)
