When I compare this with your photo, differences include:
+ yours has a richer gold chrome colour (more like the other Soundwaves) whereas Hasbro Soundwave's gold chrome is more 'pale'
+ The arrow on the chest door is unpainted on Hasbro reissue Soundwave, yet it's painted gold chrome on yours (and the other Soundwaves)
+ As a repaint of Soundblaster, Hasbro reissue Soundwave's chest door has the "tech detail" moulded into the top left (Soundwave's right) side, same as Soundblaster, whereas the one in your photo lacks this.
As you can see in the comparison photos, Hasbro reish Soundwave's chest door sticks out like a sore thumb, because it is the double-cassette holding door. I can't tell if yours is like that or not because it's a front on photo - but if you look at the middle photo above you can see how Hasbro reish Soundwave's door really does stick out whereas G1 and Encore are perfectly flat.
Here's a comparison between G1 Soundwave, Hasbro reissue Soundwave and Soundblaster - it shows a more close up look of the chest doors too.

No, mine has all the features you listed for hasbro version. It's the spare warehouse find that bbts found. It says 2012 hasbro so they might have given them more. The difference, I think, is the lighting.
Maybe it's a slight repaint by Hasbro, since it says 2012 Hasbro on it? Idk, I just got it MISB, from BBTS.

It's also weird that the only one with double tape door is Soundblaster and classics Wave. Mine has double door. So this is really confusing. Variant??!?!? I HAVE NO CLUE! Has ar ubsign on the arm, decepticon logo on the door. has those marking indent techy thingos on the top right and left. That's all I can see. Oh yeah, came with Ravage and Laserbeak (shortened boosters) and two cassette cases.
Has anyone else here got the Classics Soundwave that BBTS and TFsource have put up in the past month? I think it might be different.

I can clearly see the thick chest door in that picture - so you're right about the double door. Odd how it doesn't have the tech markings though. Maybe it's some kind of variant ... the 2012 copyright marking is odd too... maybe it's some kind of limited re-release of the reissue? <shrugs> :confused: Seems that you've stumbled across an interesting find there. :)Quote:

The photo with the book box open looks like the hasbro reissue I had, but the photo with it out of box looks like the one you have, bidoofdude. The photo with the toy in box could be an old stock photo from Hasbro.

Yes, the blue helicopter is Whirl. Didn't transform him because I mainly got the set for Bludgeon (to go with the Headrobots Blood DX set :D).

Not a TF's item as such, but since I can't find any general acquisition thread and since it does have a TF connection in a way...I finally picked up a copy of the Damn Cheetah album Primal, which has been on my hand written to-get list for about 8 years. They had Les Brown, the singer from NRG from the original movie soundtrack (who's apparently still a fan himself). He still has decent set of pipes, or did as recently as 2003 at least.

I picked up two MP thundercrackers from Moore Park - 3 on shelf left with a few on the top of the shelves. There were 3 prime legends vehicons if people are still troop building (they also had soundwave, breakdown and evac legends)
Also picked up a legends prime mirage - closest thing we will get to a DOTM Mirage/Dino
Got this from Kmart for a price I'm willing to pay for a big hollow figure, just a bit over a Deluxe figure's price.:)
