Seems Matty collector had a few problems with Teela in the past few days, and their facebook became like a witchhunt, where the distributor Digital River was telling everyone it was sold out, and subscribers won't be getting it, and then saying Wun-Dar was going to be available for non-subs. Then it turns out it was just all lies and spin from DR's end. It all was quite interesting in a nasty kind of way.
Hope this means we non-subs overseas will get the figures. I still haven't gotten confirmation for my seperate order of Ray and Zodak so there's hope.
I've got my Zodak confirmation (hurrah!), but not my Teela confirmation (which is part of my subscription.) I'm not too stressed about it though. It'll happen.Quote:

The drama that unfolded on facebook 2 days ago was really facinating. Such venom and acid that spewed from He-Man collectors when they were told various disinformation. I just bought two pages of original MOTU artwork from the early eighties! :D So excited! They're by Adrian Gonzales (who drew The Sunbird Legacy comic: http://www.he-man.org/publishing/item.php?id=464) and the story is a previously untold and unreleased origin of He-Man. I bought the beautiful pages 11 and 22:

I chose 11 because it's fully inked, announces that the capital of Eternia is called 'Monarch' and features Man-At-Arms, Battle Ram and the injured boy who will become He-Man (as well as foreboding dialogue and captions.) 22 is a gorgeous almost Roy Lichtensteinesque pencilled page of telling silence between He-Man and Teela.

Hurrah, my Teela and Zodak arrived today using the slow default international mail!! They look fantastic.
I have a spare Teela too for trading purposes. Anybody here do want? I still need MAA or Tri-Klops, but I don't want to pay for em, rather just straight trade.

But, I did manage to get about 24 of the Vintage Mini Comics from the Toyline the other day. I've been reading them before I go to sleep for the past few nights... :D
I definitely prefer the mini comics' origin stories over Filmation's.
Scareglow and re-issue He-Man tonight
My sub takes care of Scareglow and I will be purchasing a He-Man as I don't have one yet. I didn't like the red around his eyes and that was the whole reason I never started with the line

It's funny - I must be the odd one out in the whole world, but I really love the He-Man figure! I still think he's my favourite! I'll be getting the reissue tonight as well - so if they can "improve" on the original, then it should be an excellent figure! Can't wait!Quote:

Man, I woke up to check my emails and He-Man is sold out already! I kinda expected it but wow, even with upped production numbers he still went in hours. Hope everyone who wanted one managed to get him.
Yeah I spent the hour between 4 and 5am trying to order. Turns out that I was using the wrong security code all along... that means that all the figures I have ordered from mattycollector have processed with the wrong information. Still all good.
I'm glad He-Man sold out, but I'm way more excited about recieving Scareglow!!!
Yeah, I went on at 2:30am only to find out it's Daylight Savings in the US now too - so I had to get up again at 3:30am to place my order.
