I'm looking forward to missing out on MP Prime at TRU due to supply and demand issues..... The ONE thing I actually want from TRU and to know I'll probably miss out on it, sucks ass.
It really isn't a trip to TRU unless you leave bitterly disappointed and demoralised.
We are becoming bitter and jaded aren't we:D

MP Thundercracker and Optimus were at Joondalup TRU today (cheered me up after my Nana's funeral :()
There were about 2 Ops and 3 Tcrackers. $130 and $80 respectively.

So for those following along at home, when they actually had them in stock they wouldn't sell one to me because they were waiting for the new catalogue to come out. And now that it's out today, they've somehow already sold out of stock.

Yes Kyle gave me a ring this morning as he went down pretty early (Around 9:00am I think or earlier)and they were already sold out O_o. I'll put it down to pathetic stocking of an item and not a huge rush, 8 was all they had originally I think which I believe 2 of our members managed to get before they were on the shelves. 6 items for a sale, Speaks volumes as far as I 'm concerned, I'm leaning towards what you are doing nyerk and buying online but this item isn't high on my collecting wants, It was more of a case of the convenience of actually just going down to the local shop. One thing I know I won't be doing is buying it off ebay from Aussie sellers.
The MP OPs must of sold out because I was there around 1:00pm and I didn't see any. I bought 1 of the MP TCs so only 2 remain. I admittely am a little underwhelmed by the paint applications around the cockpit and face considering they are supposed to be masterpieces by anyway... You take what you can get.Quote:

I really do hope there is more stock coming out in future and i hate that you guys maybe be missing out because of this kinda stuff up. Aqua even called in on the Monday as asked around and was told to not even come in on the Wednesday and try the weekend. TRU just ain't what it use to be.

Yep I dropped in on Monday, hoping, *just in case* they may have some out or I could find a helper that could "hook a brother up". Got told they don't have him and "to try back mid to early November" I was actually expecting there to be none for the sale.
I feel that the way TRU has handled this whole thing was a complete fiasco, and it sucks that people have missed out getting him. Trust me it sucks being the recipient of both MP Prime and Thundercracker (sadly no Thunderstorms) to hear that everyone else is as annoyed and peeved off as I was earlier in this thread. It kind of makes it bitter sweet, but if there's some silver lining to this cloud, at least we screwed the scalpers out of 2 OP and TC. That's no consolation to everyone that missed out. If I see them pop up again I'll try and grab them for you guys that missed out.
Honestly I'm over it, If these show up again I may buy them but I'm not running around like a headless chook, Too lazy and too Old:p:D

It wouldn't surprise me if they intentionally only purchased a very small amount of stock for the promotion then will purchase larger numbers after its finished. From a business perspective maybe their intention was always to only sell a few to build up the hype and demand only to see it satisfied after the promotion, when they can make some serious coin.
Having said that, I could be giving them too much credit. Either way TRU is making a fortune from these, whether it be selling for $130 or $150 when you see it selling for $99 in the US. And that's $US, not $AU. So even lower still at our rates. Even after you add the cost of shipping, which would be minimal considering how much stock they would import, we're still being ripped off royally.
I am glad I managed to acquire one before they all sold out, however I have read that the quality is not that of Takara standard. It is certainly noticeable with some paint apps scratched or scuffed and one of the cab lights (above windows) has a chip on the end. Easily fixed, but for that price I would've expected more perfection. Having said that I'm still happy with the figure but still retain a little disappointment with the quality.
There was 1 MP Thundercracker left (after i got to them)at TRU in morley at 1.00 today. I was talking to the guy there and he said some woman bought 6 last night:mad:.. So i bought 2 (i nearly went back for the 3rd) So if anyone wants TC i definitely have a spare for 80..

Target Innaloo has the Kre-O Microchangers and Generations Vortex. Dunno about the other Combaticons though.

Target Midland had FOC Soundwave and Soundblaster today. I think I got the last Soundblaster.
I also think they must be new because they didn't register at the price check out, so they charged me the price of a deluxe :D

Target Innaloo had Soundwave at it's $39 price. My wife managed to find the one that someone hid away. Kind of disgusted at the Vortex and Brawn hidden away right at the bottom back shelf.
So yes, there's a Vortex and Brawn now in plain sight at Target Innaloo if anyone wants em, $22 each. But you have to beat the kids.
There was one set of all Combaticons at Midland Toyworld yesterday.. $30 apiece though.
Also a bunch of FO Optimuses, Jazzes and Shockwaves, same price.
Picked up 2x Soundblasters and a Soundwave from Target Mandurah. It looks like they only have 4 Soundwaves left. Also FOC Prime, Jazz and Shockwaves on the shelf.
Spied wave 1 FOC at Target Morley and they had a good selection of Soundwaves and Sound Blasters as well. At $39
Kmart had some too and a single sad and lonley (and ugly coloured) Onslaught.
Picked up 1 x FoC Soundwave at Target Whitfords on Saturday. there was 1 more left on the shelf.

TRU Cannington had G2 Combaticons, Target had plenty of FOC wave 1 (all 3) and Soundwave (No Soundblaster).
