Thanks dude. Believe it or not I got him from TRU Parra! They must've gotten in a new shipment after Sunday - but that was the last Wheeljack there and there was just one Soundwave left. Clearly these two are selling like hotcakes - little wonder considering that they're the only two original characters who didn't feature in First Edition (I suspect atm it's mostly collectors scooping up most TFP figures rather than kiddies).

A massive congrats for completing the Titan Books US Marvel G1 Comic Reprint TPBs dude; onto the UK volumes now, yes? :D
Also, congrats on acquiring all the DOTM Wreckers in Deluxe dude; It's such a shame that Hasbro just couldn't manage a whole set in any size class with all of their weapons out or in - I think Marketing must've fudged that one. ;):)

Congrats Jinto, sorry to hear about your FE Bulkhead having a warped chest panel though dude as that'd frustrate me. :cool:

These are tonnes smaller than I expected but the detail and engineering is beyond that of the DotM line. Not a bad wave so far with only some posing problems due to odd joints, otherwise, am absolutely stoked so far.

Well, thanks to Digital River bouncing back my payment for the Feb 15 sale
(And a burst of fan rage making me say screw it and preordering everything off of BBTS) I had a bit of cash and thought Why not go get Megatron from Toys R Us? Seeing as I'll have the PRIME First Editions soon.

Got the last one I'm afraid, he was only so reduced for clearance purposes. Aside from the fugly hands I'm quite liking him, the alt mode is really awesome.

Your Kusanagi predates SAC by quite a bit btw, that's a GitS manga series figurine. Looks to be a special 2-pack repaint. Nice score.:)

Yeah, his hands are a little odd to say the least but his Alt mode sure is awesome IMO too. :cool:

Anyways, you can get an English translation of the manga, no time to search for a link sorry.:( Totally worth a read though a lot more lighthearted than the movie/series - not quite up there with the Akira manga but still awesome and with a few observations on Shirow's take on mecha/cyborgs.

The English translations sometimes omit some of the, er, 'saucier' bits - most likely due to censorship or whatever. Hursti: I have the original GitS manga - if you like I can bring it along next time we meetup if you wanna look at what was cut.

Love Arcee and while the backpack is a little bit kibbly, it's still a pretty fantastic avatar of the show. Deluxe Leadfoot is quite complex, I'm talking RotF Mixmaster here. Ok, maybe not quite, but this is complex for a deluxe. Also, he isn't as ugly as the pictures suggest.

Man I love the alt modes of the techy DOTM Wreckers. Leadfoot has the nicest bot mode out of all 3 too imo. Gut formers FTW! :D

Yeah. It's a pity Roadbuster isn't in mechtech alt mode. Ruins the asthetic continuity. But yes gut formers rules - Animated Bulkhead & Ratchet.

Yeah, he does look nicer IRL than in photos (not utterly fantastic, but nice enough). A part of me wishes he had a more original Mech Tech weapon instead of a recolour of Ratchet's.

I agree. I don't mind the regular car mode of DLX Roadbuster; but it's the inconsistency that's annoying. Either all the DLX Wreckers should have attack vehicle modes or they should all have regular vehicle modes. And then they did a similar thing with the Legions Class Wreckers too! Roadbuster and Leadfoot are in their attack modes and Top Spin is in his regular car mode! :confused: I don't see why they made both Legion and Deluxe Leadfoots in their attack modes -- that means I now have Roadbuster and Top Spin in both their vehicle forms, but I have no Leadfoot toy in regular car form. Inconsistency FTL. :(

Admittedly I'm really more into GitS for the philosophy and mech design, but it's still kind of a drag. Not quite worth getting another one just for the naughty bits though.

I have all three GitS books (1, 1.5 and 2) by Shirow Matsumune and they were done by Dark Horse.

Yeah, the Dark Horse version is censored. Mine is published by Young Magazine Kaizokuban (Kodansha). It looks like this. I've compared it with a friend's Dark Horse version and the entire scene in question (p.52-55) is cut.

i wrote something up here they were $1.95 each and i have only seen them at the local Chemist. they were not in a vending machine just at the front counter with the rest of the lolly items

I saw one of those little "egg" PVCs last month- when I was coming back from Japan we were stuck at Gold Coast Airport (for seven hours due to our connecting flight being delayed umpteen times due to the weather) - a boy was playing with that Sentinel Prime figurine.
