wow, good work on getting all that paperwork and card backs! :)
They are in pretty good knick, the 5 outta 6 Constructicon cards are really good on the back, the front is ripped though. Got em all for 20 bucks (and AM megs and accessories for another 10)
There was a number of other things, but nothing that I really wanted.
Penrith toy fair seems like a good place to visit.
hmmm is that toy fair going to be a quarterly thing as well? See the thing is , its not near a train station (Panthers)so it kinda put me off going:(
There was only one guy with TFs there this time, but it was worth the trek. Just wish it was better advertised.
What other toys were there at the penrith fair? is it just like Parra fair?
lets go next time 'CARPOOL!' im curious what they have there. Do they have alot of DC and Marvel figures as well?
There was alot of die cast cars, coka cola merch, and various other things like disney statues and such. It has a bigger area, but it caters for more more die cast collectors, whereas Parra is a wide variety of things.
There were some really old Superman and other comics, some Marvel cards (all from the guy with the TFs) but thats about it. Don't think I saw many DC and Marvel figures, it was mainly die cast cars and stuff. Was good to check out, but we were in and outta there in less than an hour. It was air conditioned, which made us stay longer haha.
Was it in Panthers itself, or did they put up the air conditioned tent over near the aqua golf?
I'm not sure if this is quarterly or if it is on every 6 months, as Az said it is poorly advertised.
I'd go to the next Penriff Fair if it doesn't clash with the Parra Fair. If they're going to keep clashing then I'm gonna choose Parramatta.
Yea it was in the big tent near aqua golf (never actually done that yet) I think that we should organise something like that for the next one, go to that fair and then aqua golf, would be fun.
I should have spoken to them about it while I was there, I think they had flyers but I didn't grab one, forgot to before we left. I'll try and find out when the next one is on or at least speak to them. If I call up Panthers or Penrith Council or something, they should know how to contact them or when the next one is on.
Last time I remember it being on, it clashed with the Parra Fair, even the guy I got the stuff from said it was stupid that it clashed. They need to work together to better organise when it's on. Parra wins for me each time, but because I gotta go back out that way anyway, I figure I would stop in.
Got HA Bumblebee for my birthday as well as Alliance comic book (the thick one with all the issues- Im not a big comic book person so i dont know what youd call that).
At the SA meet i got a Classics Astrotrain from Jaisun and a G2 Slag from Gutsman.
I bought a Cybertron figure off my nephew at his garage sale- the figures name i have forgotten. Gutsman Heavy did tell me...
The figure was Cannonball?, the thick comic is known as a TPB (Trade Paper Back) and lastly HAPPY BIRTHDAY
you don't even need to work together necessarily... just be aware that there's another Fair and try to avoid clashing dates! When I organised Sabretron 2004 I tried to make sure that it didn't clash with any other conventions, which wasn't easy and in the end we ran just one week after Animania. But at least there was that 1 week gap; Sabretron 2004 didn't directly conflict with any other conventions afaik. The Parramatta Fair has their dates set out _well_ in advance which are advertised on their web site.Quote:

Also pictured a whole bunch of cheap re-issues from my garage sale haul, Thanks to a tip of from one of my friends mothers, who is into cruising garage sales, you never know what you'll find. Also my ROTF regular OP, who isn't new, but is thrown in for comparison purposes. Will hopefully take more comparison pics when I have time.
wow thats super fast for the buster prime! is it going to be availiable in australia? or do we have to buy overseas??
It seems Buster Prime was released a few days early in limited quantaties, I was curious as HLJ listed him as low stock in my account, and NOV release on the main website. I wouldn't normaly use EMS, but he was linked with the valkyrie I bought on sale during HLJ's free shipping sale last week.
All in all November has been one lucky bargain month for collecting for me, with Busta Prime's free shipping and the cheap TF reissues, my valkyrie from the HLJ sale, and a 75% discounted GI Joe Pitt and Target exclusives it's been better than the June toy sales, although I spent more than I would have preffered for the month before Christmas.
rotf ramjet - from garbo city
I went in there after 11:30. But I have a standing order so it was already set aside for me. kup wanted to get a copy and there were none left. Hey, you should join up with the rest of us at the next fair. :)
Sounds like a plan Goki, although I'll have to talk myself into going again - as I do every 3 months :D There just doesn't seem that much on offer anymore.
Yay these finally arrived from the States

Really happy with these fellas.
Found these 2 at Myer - Ramjet & Skywarp - for the ridiculous price of $80. Thankfully there was a 20% off deal so it was a slightly more palatable $64 each.

Tiby, are they available only in Myers here in Aus? and if so does all Myer stores have em, Im only after Skywarp...
^^ yes myer exclusive, i think all myer stores have them. i reckon every TF should have come with a collector card, have simmons thoughts on all of them:D
Starscream212 has spotted them at a Kmart in Victoria at a regular Voyager price.
I'm not sure. I stumbled upon them at Myer in Wollongong unexpectedly.
When I bought some DVDs at Kmart last week, I asked them if I could have one of their TF2 display cubes (they had 3).
I saw one in Tassie, and wanted one. The Tassie store said no, but the Sunnybank store said yes. :D

I can't imagine they would be keeping them much longer, so if you want one, see if your local Kmart still has any, and ask if you can get it when they decide to throw it out.
And last weekend in Sydney, I bought a TF2 Mug:

Complete TM2 Jawbreaker including backing card. 5 cards left to find.
Target.
Most exquisite. I shall have to aquire one this Friday arvo. :)
i got myself an optimus prime bobble head... sorry, wacky wobler the other day for $12 BARGAIN! and i also got legends mudflap and grindor(both infinantly awesome) and deluxe rampage... who i am starting to like after hating for a day or so because i couldnt transform him back to vehicle mode because his shovel thing kept falling off.:)
Exactly. It's pot luck. But if you go with the intention of buying something cool you might be disappointed. I go with the intention of socialising with fans... if I happen to buy anything on the day it's a bonus. :)Quote:
