Hasbro Asia. For some silly reason a lot of Americans refer to all the Hasbro Asia releases as Takara, which they are plainly not. Must be because its outside the US

It was definitely a Hasbro Asia/HK release, not a JP release.
I'm curious to know how many people classify Generations Metroplex as War For/Fall of Cybertron or Classicsverse (or something else). TFwiki has lumped him as "G1" (so more like Classicsverse), but to me he's FoC. Sure, he doesn't look totally like FoC Metroplex, but Generations Ultra Magnus doesn't look much like FoC Ultra Magnus either. ;) And alright, FoC Ultra Magnus' packaging does explicitly state "Fall of Cybertron," whereas Generations Metroplex's box doesn't, but Metroplex's sound chip does use his FoC voice and lines taken directly from the game. So for me, that counts as "authorial intent" that this toy is meant to be part of the WFC/FOC figures rather than Classicsverse or something else. Some Classicsverse toys come in packaging that doesn't state that it's part of that series either, but many fans consider them to be part of it (e.g. Classics Ultra Magnus).
Obviously there's no right or wrong answer here, I'm just asking out of curiosity as to what the general consensus is. I'm gonna keep classifying it as WFC/FOC personally. ;)
This.
Other than the designers, there are too many people that probably get to have their say in the production line.
Also, if Generations Metroplex is from the WFC/FOC continuity, then so are the 4 characters featured in his command cockpit: http://www.seibertron.com/transforme...lex/2980/2/76/
But that'd just make sense. :p
