The head can be disassembled...sweet.
That was the last little push I needed to pick up Soundblaster when he comes out. I missed out on TT Soundwave when he came out here, but I want that red visor dammit.

Here's a thread on TFW that talks about taking the head apart. You have to be careful as part of it is glued together.
you are a funny guy, your first post made me dead set chortle out loud!
Cheers
Its only a slight lean, and he seems super stable, it even looks ok, it just feels a little wierd in my head.
Hilarious, i've not seen that movie yet. I might rent it now.
that is some seriously good constructive advice, thank you.
Hmm, that's three now, it sounds pretty common, it's probably not worth swapping just to get another with the same problem.
Thanks for the link Trent, it's a brave guy the first one to crack open the Head on his masterpiece Transformer.
For those concerned about the hinge on the chest door for soundwave, I have inspected mine. there may be some mold attachment there, which is a little ugly but it's not a stress problem unless it was stressed on removal from the sprue.
the right hand half of the right hand hinge has a step in it out of sight that the spring sits in, this leads to the discolouration of the plastic on the right hand half of that hinge simply because it has the spring behind it which effects the light coming through the clear plastic.
I don't think there is a stress issue at this hinge, I'd be happy to have a look at someone elses at the parramatta fair if you like.
You can adjust his ankles to get rid of the lean. Simply extend them a little and then lean him forward on them.
I just looked at my MP-13 Soundwave using a flashlight. He has the dots behind the visor also, no big deal.
He did in all the (not very many) shops I know of in Osaka. All of them were gone by midday of the official release day except for one crazy overpriced one in Hero Gangu.
Re. Amazon, I don't have a means of online payment yet, or enough Japanese to set one up.
I just got a second Encore Convoy and unlike the first one I've actually opened this one.
I found that the gun and fist are different from my original 90's "Classics" Optimus Prime. Are these parts new or remoulds or the original parts?
There was a running change with the original Optimus back in the day, as he couldn't hold his gun well.
So they were altered, with the fists being slanted, and the gun was also slightly remolded around the same time, the barrel thickness coming to mind.
I believe that all non-vintage reissues have used these 'fixed' pieces.
