A G2 Optimus (even though it'd be another YOT~ product) from the MP-10 mould would be much more preferred than that Soundwave.

I have a feeling that they would be a hard sell to retailers with those colours. YOTH Starscream looked better, but it ended up being rejected. If it was rejected due to cost, these two are likely to be about the same here, so you'd think that if Starscream looked more appealing visually and failed, these probably might not have much chance.
At best, we might get Optimus here just because it is the most iconic name in Transformers for retailers to take a punt on.

But unlike YOTH Prime, the colours on this (or lack thereof) are completely different to the original Masterpiece. Most people bought the YOTH because they had no other option for the MP-10 as Optimus, at least from my POV.

I would fall into this category, but its bizarre colour scheme has grown on me. Don't think I'll be able to say the same about YOTG Soundwave though.
