That's part of the Animated homage, I figure. He deleted his emotions so he could fit more SCIENCE into his head.

I figured it was more of a homage to Wreckers Perceptor... ya know, when he got all hard and stuff. ;)

Mind you, G1 Perceptor was more of a hard-@r$3 in the G1 comics... not the bumbling professor that the cartoon made him out to be.

Turns out that Perceptor can hold Generations WJ's weapons/ tools. Nice nod to TFA there ;)

Well..I finally got my hands on Perceptor and he's
just overloaded with awesomeness...
