We'll get you Russo, We'll get you...
You will pay for your crimes of stupidity to the wrestling community...
Quoting Samuel L. Jackson
"And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers"
:D
You know, my sister catches bits of the wrestling here and there but she knows all about the TNA Women's Division.
She completely and utterly hates Taylor Rain. Because in her words "that skinny skanky blonde bimbo should never have been able to beat Amazing Kong! Who writes this shit?"
My response.
"Vince Russo. I've told you before, everything that's wrong about wrestling, it's all Vince Russo's fault".
:p
I wouldn't know, I don't watch such films.
Honest.
Get out of my "Stuff" folder!
Wow. I honestly don't know where to begin with Raw.
But however I start, it begins with criticising the new "leadership" of Mike Adamle.
Bloody awful. One way to describe this week's Raw.
It started off with Adamle giving a big speech, crap about how people didn't accept him ... dunno what came after that because I hit the fast forward button, he was just that damn boring.
And what do we have? Why it's the first "Adamle Original" for the night! JBL and Jericho in a handicap match against CM Punk. If either wins they get a title shot, if Punk wins, neither gets a shot. Yeah, that's been done before Adamle.
Two title matches in a row which achieved what? To kill off the Kofi/Mickey fued with the Burchill's and have Rome and Juliet put into the title hunt instead, with another "Adamle Original"! Yeah, this burgoning romance between Marello and Phoenix will fizzle with Adamle around.
By the end of Raw one thing had become apparent. Adamle's style of "leadership" (yes, I realise he's not actually in charge and he's just a puppet) seems to consist of using various gimmicks in matches.
Hey Mike! Jim Cornette called! He thanks you for copying him and that it's nice to see someone from the WWE is watching TNA!
Oh look, Matt Striker's making his first appearance on Raw. Obvious where this one is headed. So whoever "he" is is apparently dead. Could that be the end of Kane's newest storyline? Oh well, it looks like Adamle's reign on Raw will be short lived as he's going to confront Kane next week.
Then there was the main event. What a crock of poop. For starters the whole Batista -vs- Cena thing is apparenly an Adamle Original as well. Yeah, great idea. Put two of the biggest names in WWE in a match against each other and have them headline Summerslam.
Let's see ... headline match of a PPV ... roughly 10pm in the US when it will start. Yep, there's 90% of Cena and Batista's fanbase already in bed!
Back to the match, wahey! Just when we thought they were going somewhere with the tag team division .... they piss all over it too.
Remember the last days of WCW when Vince Russo was in charge? Raw reminded me of that with Adamle in charge. If this guy lasts six months i'll be very surprised. Frankly I think this might be Vince's way of getting Adamle out of his paid-too-much contract by making him into the worst WWE personality in history.
You'd have to agree that for someone who only recently go into the rasslin' business, Adamle has become the genuinely most hated person in record time...
How long do you reckon before he gets a...

:D
I though RAW was ok............
Again TNA WTF?!?!? The Motorcity machineguns losing to Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed! What a joke.
Oh yeah and the main event had such potential yet Russo's inability to write and Samoa Joes lack of charisma stuffed up another potentialy great card. Kurt's head cut was pretty bad. Must of it one of the bolts on the ladder or something.
I thought one of the reasons Kurt left Vince was so that he wouldn't get injured as much again...
Kurt didn't leave, he was forced out because he wouldn't slow down.
Vince and Co. were concerned that with all his injuries and Angle's constant desire to push himself they were afraid of losing him like they did Eddie.
So even after forcing time off onto him it still didn't slow him down so they released him in the hopes that would stop him, but he turned around and went straight to TNA.
Which wasn't THAT bad really as TNA works on a much reduced schedule.
And if you think the MCMG's losing was bad, wtf were they thinking with the Dutt/Lethal "stipulation"?
"Both men are chained together wearing tuxedos, the chain can be used as a weapon. To win the match you must either pin your opponent or strip your opponent of their tuxedo".
ugh .... TNA. Gimmick overload. How the wrestlers keep up with what sort of match they're suppose to be wrestling amazes me.
Kurt & his injuries... :(
& then they take his frequent injuries & turn them into a storyline...
I'm talking about this staged bloodbath & the finish from Kurt's & AJ's Hard Justice match...
"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles defeated Kurt Angle in a truly epic Last Man Standing match after hitting a top rope DDT on Angle - and the Olympian was unable to beat the 10 count. After the bout, paramedics came in to examine Kurt... " quoted from the TNA Website
(I've been searching for a vid/pic of the top rope DDT to illustrate just how nuts it was but I can't find one)
It looks like Kurt's got a deathwish or something... :(
There's a wrestling thread?? Cool. I haven't watched any TNA. I'm just waiting for the Undertakers return (again) at SS. :o
Welcome to the wrestling thread Mixmaster. If you like you wrestling full of gimmicks, quick little guys whos timing is just off or main eventers that are past their prime, have man boobs or need to slow down and rest so the can actually perform at 100% then TNA is the show for you.:p
That being said as you can tell from my posts I love The Motorcity Machine Guns and am extremely peeved that they were forced to job to jobbers last sat nite.
Glad to see you've found the rasslin' thread Mixmaster! :)
Transfans & Rasslin' Smarks merged into one? Who knew they actually existed... :p
You can't make this stuff up...
I found this through PWTorch
What about the drivel in the second paragraph?
"WWE wrestler The Great Khali will also be awarded a 'Super Achiever Wrestler par Excellence Trophy.' This fine young man of 387lbs (174kg) is a power lifter with extensive experience in serious wrestling styles such as Graeco-Roman, aikido, judo and kalari - as well as entertainment-oriented styles such as Japanese Pro and WWE. A former Punjabi policeman, he was Mr India in 1997 and 1998. He will soon be seen in the movie Ramaa - The Saviour with Tanushree Dutta and Sahil Khan."
How could anyone be proud of Khali? All he ever will be is a bloody Freakshow! *sigh*
We've only seen his WWE stuff. Before that he did a lot of stuff in India and as probably the only Indian to achieve big "success" in the WWE he's also practically regarded as a national hero there.
There really is more to the guy than just what we see.
Yeah, i love Khali. I wish people would give him a break. Although I'm still barracking for HHH at SS
I know I'm not like most Smarks but I just can't stand it when a stiff, freakshow like Khali who couldn't work a realistic-looking match if his life depended on it takes a roster spot away from another up-&-coming rassler who just has so much more potential...
Personally I'd rate Khali as being nearly as bad as...

please don't flame me...
You're spared from flaming for WWE management have done it again!
They release Cherry but keep some talentless bimbo like Maryse?Quote:
WWE has just announced the releases of Colin Delaney and Smackdown Diva Cherry. The list of released WWE talent as of today is:
Stevie Richards
Referee Wes Adams
Cherry
The Highlanders
Colin Delaney
Oh not Stevie Richards, I liked that guy.
Anyone else catch this?
Soon after the start of the Wilde/Hemme match there was a quick flash on the screen, split second subliminal type thing. Paused it in the right spot.
Black background, white writing.
whoissuicide.com
It then links to a MySpace page. Looks like another "monster" type character coming to TNA.
Guess Russo is running out of original ideas. Booker is playing a part similar to his King Booker gimmick, Kip "Billy Gunn" James is back to his Chuck and Billy gimmick, and Davari is the new Hussan.
I thought I saw something but I was half asleep so I just disregarded it. Thank you Burn for proving I'm not seeing things.
Isn't there some law against subliminal messaging? I vaguely remember something about Coke and movies in my Commerce class in high school. I guess it might be okay since it is there own product.
That Whoissuicide Myspace pic reminded me of La Parka :D
You gotta remember that everything & anything goes in pro wrestling :p
Anyone else order Summerslam? Gotta wait for the 8:30pm repeat. I shouldn't complain, I couldn't take the day off because i've just started a new job and it's been good for me. So having to wait a few hours for my wrestling fix isn't so bad.
Taker is back baby!!!!
For one of the "big four" PPV's of the year, Summerslam lacked a bit.
I expected more from Hardy/MVP. This could be a good feud if they really run with it, but the match didn't really do what I was expecting.
Glamarella/Kofi-Mickey was what I expected it to be, a run of the mill match with a few shits and giggles from Marella thrown in.
Hardy/Henry for the ECW title I completely missed because I was playing with my nephew.
Punk/JBL I caught bits of, looked like a pretty good match though that GTS at the end was pretty unconvincing. Good that Punk won though.
HHH/Khali was also what I was expecting, a filler feud for HHH until a better opponent comes along. Nothing spectacular about this match.
Cena/Batista was time to hit the shower. Sorry, but I can't watch Batista wrestle, throw him in the mix with Mr Five-moves-of-Doom and the fact it was getting late after a long day at work, well I wanted to be awake for the Hell in a Cell.
Which of course was the match to watch. I expected a bit more carnage but in the end it really cemented Edge as one of (if not the) top wrestlers in the business today. I've loved his transformation in the last few weeks into a complete and utter psycho, and now that he's been "sent to hell" I can't wait to see what will become of him now.
All in all, a fairly mediocre ppv.
i havent watched wwe in years, since it was wwf and it used to be on sunday nights on channel 10 waaaaaay back in the day.. but with afterburner on 9 lately ive been watching it a bit... good fun.. changed a lot though, it used to just be wwf as far as i can remember, now theres smackdown, raw and ecw.. heapsa new wrestlers.. but slowly catching up on it.. hhh is still my fav from way back when..
one thing though, whats the go with the two different brands? wrestlers from different brands cant fight each other? or just two different shows..
By having each wrestler competing only on one show, Vince is hoping that the fans will watch all 3 shows weekly to be in the know about everyone & everything...
Jacksplatt11, Maybe you should give TNA a go? atleast one time... :) (quickplug - Sat's 10pm on Fox8 ;))
ahh ok i get it... cant complain with more shows i guess.. ahh TNA, just looked it up, a few familiar faces like kevin nash, sting, booker t.. i dont have pay tv though so wont be watching any time soon..
oh and funnily enough, cena is gonna be on madTV.. on now on 9.. in melb anyways
I saw a little bit of Raw (I've been missing it heaps at the moment) I'm intrigued by these championship scrambles at unforgiven although I can't see anyone beating Triple H (maybe The Brian Kendrick:p).
I absolutely love Glamourella. Santino is so funny being bossed around by Beth Phoenix:D
haha THE brian kendrick, he's pretty funny... whats the go with that Ezekiel guy? did he used to be a wrestler? he's huge, he should get in the ring.. but yeah i cant see HHH being beaten, just depends on how the writers write it i guess..
Far out Raw was craptacular this week.... boring.
Once again ECW had it's best match on first.
Pro Rasslin' sure has been going through a lull lately... :(
Sure that HBK/Jericho feud has the smarks drooling at the mouth but I honestly haven't felt the desire to watch any WWE or TNA programming for a while...
Of course I still read all the results (I've got wrestling in my blood :o) but those results just haven't made me wanna watch the programs... :(
Come on Vince/Dixie Carter, Pick up your act! Please! :)
Undertaker dude!!!!
OMG Jeff Hardy is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
