Thanks! Appreciate the PM :)
I'm scheduled for knee reconstruction - found a no gap doctor so I only have to pay excess for the hospital :D
Thought for sure I was going to have this overseas over the holidays which was going to suck.

Just completed reading US Marvel G1 Issue #80 and the IDW Beast Wars TPB; I feel both thoroughly entertained and enlightened! :D
Really, really dug the Beast Wars stuff but equally as much with the Marvel G1 stuff and subsequently, am very much looking forward to the UK Marvel stories! ;)
Makes you just want to read more doesn't it? (with both)
Furman may have once said 'it never ends', but I wish th0se two stories didn't come to an end. (and I don't think #81 will follow what Furman originally had planned, so it feels more like a semi-reboot to me)
I'm so happy about getting my replacement Beast Machines DVDs yesterday, as it means I *finally* have all the released Western TFs cartoons on DVD (after my years tracking down the RiD DVDs finally ended this month too). Just about finished watching all the RiD episodes, and have the urge to watch Beast Machines again. :D
Oh bloody oath yeah! :D:o
At least there is the US G2 stuff I can go on with, I just need to get the HC version of Rage in Heaven, as well as the UK stuff; just as soon as I finish paying Jimoinj off. ;)
What's disappointing though is that apart from the Dawn of Futures Past comic, that's it for Beast Wars. :(
Hmm, that's a fair point as I would agree that with time he probably has reconsidered it's direction; whether this is for better or for worse?, guess we'll have to wait and see. :oQuote:

I do wonder which writing approach he'll employ with it though?; the modern way or the old fashioned way?
Congratulations dude , you've done well with the RiD series as I don't think I've ever seen a DVD of that cartoon ever , not so with Beast Machines though; I have watched it all in a 'Digitally Re-Located' way though. :oQuote:

Since he won't be bound by Hasbro's toy release schedule, it allows him to radically change the direction of the story, from the Nucleon-Last Autobot-Return to Earth storyarc he was deep into at the time (which I wanted to see played out, to see where he was originally taking it).
I guess at the time the Gen1 comic ended, we were already at the end of the Gen1 toyline, so I'm not sure what new toys/characters he would have started introducing after Hasbro were done releasing Micromasters & Actionmasters.
That's a very good point, the fact that it was tied to the toy line release schedule, as I had completely overlooked that so I suppose that he could go one of 2 ways:
- Introduce new characters from the Japanese G1 cast.
- Go back and fill in or correct various plot holes or unexplained/elaborated cast members.
...Or, he could combine both options; however one wants to think about it, it's really going to be interesting and exciting to see just what exactly he is going to do huh?
I can think of a certain line that I'd love to see him introduce... :p:DQuote:

Now hopefully more businesses will have some certainty here, growing the I.T. sector and hence create a larger jobs market for the region! ;):)
