I remember paying $150 for Hasbro MP-10 and $150 for Takara Jetwing Prime. No way paying almost $900 for MP-44

Toymate Erina opening this weekend,

Bot bots wave 3 including special arcade renegades pack
Some potp and rid animated stuff here as well
Two Long Hauls left at Myer CBD, just grabbed one myself
Not that I'd pay $895 for an MP44, but remember that this is an import price, much of which is dictated by import taxes, levies etc. that the government slaps on. This isn't a new thing. Specialist import stores typically sell toys for far above RRP.
Now bear in mind that at maximum RRP including tax, MP-44 retails for about $735. This means that Kings' import price is about 122% above RRP, which for an import price isn't all that bad considering. Kings sold Siege Deluxes for $47, which compared to the $29 price that we're seeing at locals, that's a hike of 162%. And remember when import stores were often selling stuff at double RRP? (e.g. TFC reissue Autobot Cars at $70)
Online purchasing, especially with pre-order discounts, has always been cheaper than buying from import stores. Why pay $70 for a TFC Inferno when I could get it for $35 direct from Japan?
That is so true why i never buy from import stores. Most my shopping is online. Those that sells it on import shops like hobbyco just trying to make more money off ya. Unless you can get it from your local stores. But highly unlikely. By the way how much is siege omega supreme? I see it that says its available in local stores. I got mine off robotkingdom and that cost me over $300. I wonder how much they go for locally
Hit up Myers, Big W, Target and Uncle Pete's in Dubbo on the weekend. All the usual Siege and Cyberverse stuff, though I noted Big W did have some new little Cyberverse figures like Ratchet, and Uncle Pete's had the Off-Road Patrol, some Mighty Muggs and one Jetfire priced at $139
Tuggerah Caseys opened this week (where the old Toymate was), nothing new or special atm, just the current siege line. 1 Megz & 1 Cracker on shelf as well as multiple deluxes.
Target has 1 SS Prime (Bumblebee movie) & SS Rampage back in stock as well
Not necessarily. Those import taxes, levies etc. go to the government, not the business. The government forces importers to pay these costs which are then passed onto the customers. The business itself surprisingly makes little profit after the government grabs its share. And don't forget that these smaller businesses don't have the purchasing power of the majors.
