MP-11NR Masterpiece Ramjet

I'm going to assume there will be a G2 repaint of this guy. Definitely getting there money's worth out of this guy

I thought I was the only one not gushing over this. You're right, the face looks weird and what they've done with the knees doesn't look right. It may grow on me but I can't help that feel that this is a half arsed attempt. Which is shame because I've never felt like that with a MP before. Even MP Megatron I like and have respect for.

Or it is (accidental) genius. Simply showing those boxart pictures now is enough to stop many people from buying the latest batch of unofficial coneheads. Takara wouldn't want to show their whole release catalog but showing Ramjet may stifle the purchase of all 3 unofficial coneheads whereas a Diaclone repaint image (as was suggested) would not have influenced any unofficial conehead purchase one bit.

This is exactly what I felt, the release of shockwave and ramjet has probably auto stop anyone buying the 3p. And I think is their way of fighting unofficial releases without needing to sue them.

That does sound quite probable. They would definitely be aware of what is being released by 3P, so it's not a far stretch to say that they've released these pictures early on purpose. Look how quick the fandom when crazy with the release of pics of Shockwave and Ramjet. I think they knew what they were doing.

I think everything looks spot on except for the face. It doesn't have the stubby look that the cartoon model has look. I know it's hard to do that, but one of the most iconic parts of the coneheads that separated them was that whole neck area that sloped, and this just doesn't have it.

It's not a bad head, but it's just not as accurate as it could have been and doesn't fit as well as I'd like. Makes him look younger.

I can't believe I'm not excited, I have always liked the coneheads. Thrust is my favourite. If this was a mainstream release I may care, I'm actually relieved it isn't so I can just avoid it for now.

I don't understand the numbering as this is not a mp-11 sculpt it should have been a totally new number. Yes I know is just numbers, get over it.

So is this confirmed for Feb or is it getting pushed back?
