Hassle them. I sent 1 email a week to them for a while before they helped me out to replace some broken MPs. RK did not cause these issues but they can send that stock back to takara.
I had to get RK to fix another issue, this time my Amazon MP Sideswipe arrived without the bonus piledrivers. I emailed them about it once and they sent me a tracking number a few days later. I expect them to arrive this week. Whether they have improved their practise, or it was an easy fix, or clearly their packing fault i am not sure but this last issue seems much better handled by RK.
RK have restocked on MP Sideswipe, Red Alert and Soundwave, but they have hiked the prices on them ridiculously.

RobotKingdom's customer service is really, really weird. Most of the time everything was fine. I had an address to send things to, they sent them, all good.
However, when I needed to change an address, or clarify something, I could send email after email and get no response. The best way to hold them to accounts is to go on Facebook and demand an explanation. Even when they reply to your email you will need to harrass them on Facebook in order to get them to reply to your email and so on.
Basically, have your stuff sorted out because RobotKingdom don't have theirs.
(BBTS, though, were amazing at customer service and I always got prompt and quick replies so it's not that it can't be done. )
Well, I've ordered only once from RK (Ace Seeker Set) and although no customer service was needed (no issues at all), they shipped very promptly and fast.
I think it took around a week on lowest shipping option for my Seeker set to come in and they packed it quite well.
So yeah, I really like RK and they're nice and cheap, to my liking.:D;)
On the last two occasions of emailing RK, I received a response from Alice and Daniel within a half hour. No problems here.
How are these guys on shipping costs? They seemed a bit expensive when I bought United Blurr from them, but that was a while ago.
Received my Fortress Maximus yesterday; shipped last Thursday. It was also perfectly packed to avoid damage in transit. Once again, a very happy customer.
The only flaw I see in the POL is that you might want to get stuff from different places and things might be exclusive to others, which may arise some problems, but it really helps if you're patient and it's always glorious when you receive heaps of things in one gigantic box.:D;)
So thrilled to get my Fortmax before I would have if it was shipped from BBTS
I should have posted earlier and definately taken pics but weeks ago RK sent me the missing piledrivers from MP-Sideswipe. They were packed in the same sized postage box that my MP-Sideswipe came in and it was 99% full of the typical RK styrofoam sheets with a tiny pair of piledrivers in the middle. It was pretty funny, so much that my wife thought i had bought a deluxe size figure when the Fort Max box arrived. Lol :D
Well, I did my first ever Robot Kingdom order 2 weeks ago. And still waiting for it to be delivered.
Contacted Aust Post and they saying its in Sydney ATM. Why the hell is it going from Hong Kong to Sydney then to Perth? Everything else that I get from Hong Kong normally takes 3 days to get to Perth. Won't be using RK again. My BBTS order was done 1 and a half weeks ago and got it early last week.......brilliant service!
I don't use RK anymore because of their non-existent customer service when something goes wrong, but in that instance, that's the postal service at fault, not RK. The mail service will use any plane available (on the airlines they have contracts with) to fly freight, but only if there is space available (to cost less to the postal service - reserved space would be for more expensive freight options). If there was a full flight on the direct passenger plane to Perth, then it would go to Perth via another destination if it is a cheaper option. All they (foreign postal services) care about it getting the packages to Australia at the cheapest means possible.... then it is the problem of Australia post to deal with it.
Now if RK had charged and promised a shipping option that guaranteed delivering within a set period of time, then they would be paying the postal service to pay airlines and Australia Post to prioritise that package (over regular/economy packages).
So does Robot Kingdom charge for pre-orders straight away, or do you get charged when the item is released like amiami, amazon, pretty much everywhere?
Anyone had any success getting an order aborted or adjusted from RK?
I'm in a position where I've preordered 2 items, but want to 'add' more to it, in order to save on combined postage. I'd made a mistake where I didn't add all 3 in up front...
I've sent an email to the info@rk address, haven't heard back yet but thought I'd see if others had any prior experiences like this.
I've had them seperate preorders where I didn't not the massive gap in arrival date.
THey refunded the shipping dif and removed the item i asked for, then i placed another order.
I'm pretty sure I've added something to an order too
In other words, they should sort you out
Got a response saying they won't add items to orders. Maybe I didn't word it well enough. Oh wells.
Asked them via Facebook to explain the massive difference in what I pay for postage vs what is on the postage label
Quote:
Hello,
Thank you for your email.
Let me briefly explain to you about this.
Despite from the shipping cost, there are also other costs included in the parcel. The shipping cost you paid on our website, indeed, should be stated as Shipping and Handling cost.
The handling cost could include the following:
Protection material
Outer Parcel Box
Salary for packing staff
Transportation to post office.
So the shipping cost is not the exact amount printed on the parcel form.
Hope this is able to solve your questions.
Yours Sincerely,
Daniel
While not a rant against RK postage (which I have not had an issue with) but I have noticed a lot of the current Generations range all come in bundles these days (Springer with Sandstorm and Blitzwing) not separate items. I'm interested in getting Trailcutter, but not with the other TFs RK has him bundled in with
I think RK's prices are quite reasonable considering an MP03 Starscream posted from Perth to Sydney was, IIRC, $30+. A comparable item, MP03G shipped from RK in Hong Kong is $25USD or $28 AUD.
haha yeah i was reminded of my situation - emailed them in May and after a few exchanges and them agreeing to replace the head on my Red Alert - nothing.
edit: thought i was replying to the proper thread http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=1567 but yeah, they suck.
So, after the red cassette that shipped with one of my MP Soundwaves was missing a pin to hold his head on, I contacted Robot Kingdom to arrange a replacement. After photos/etc to show the fault, they agreed.
I requested that, as they require returns to be shipped via trackable/insured/etc that the the cost was $xx, they reimburse me or cut their losses on the faulty item they supplied.
They agreed, and after saying a replacement would go out in the next couple of days (which meant I didn't cut my losses with RK and order a replacement cheap off eBay while there was one), and then cut off all communication.
After no less than 5 emails, all rather polite, I hit up their Facebook page (being a public forum) and I finally get a response. They've changed their mind, and now require via letter, me to send the faulty part back. Fine, except for the cost, I might as well just hit up eBay.
I've now told them I'll be taking it to PayPal, and they've got 24 hours before I do so.
Absolutely rubbish customer service. I don't mind slow service. I loathe liars.
I'll happily update this thread with the resolution, and if it isn't resolved easily, you can see the complete BS that RK have tried to shaft me on.
A similar problem was what led me to boycott them about 3 years ago (a faulty figure that I wanted to exchange), and I haven't bought from them since.
Since I don't have facebook, they just kept ignoring my emails (I was using 4 different ones of theirs).
They are a registered business that buys from Hasbro, or from a source that buys from Hasbro, so they have the ability to claim back credit from their source for faulty products so that they aren't out of pocket. And any extra shipping that they are liable to cover is just part of the risk of running that sort of business and should be factored into the profit margin. They just don't want the extra hassle of dealing with customers after they've made a sale... but don't realise that looking after your customers after a sale is how you keep your customers coming back.
(like BBTS do)
It's interesting to see that over 10% of people voting here recommend using them due to issues... while another 10% have had minor problems that may or may not have been fixed up. That's like 1 in 4 people not having a satisfactory transaction with RK.
And they were such a great business when they started up.
I'll happily give them the chance to rectify the situation. Failing that, I will do everything I can to get a full refund on my defective merchandise without spending a single dime to do so. If they want it returned, they can damn well pay for it, via the methods they request, and get bent over the counter at Australia Post with the rates they charge.
I've never had an issue with BBTS, and although their prices are higher, it's something I'm more than willing to deal with for prompt response and great customer service without having to resort to a public shaming.
Which will continue if this isn't resolved.
Issue resolved. They sent out a replacement Frenzy or Rumble (red), and as an apology, packed in a set of 4 gum/candy toys.
A lovely thought, but I'd never buy gum toys, and certainly not after my experience with them - starscream shattered into pieces when assembling, prime's peg busted on assembly, prowl had issues (caused by my misassembly), and tigertrack ended up in the bin in pieces after dealing with the other three.
A nice thought, but eh.
Also: too many hoops to jump through for me to consider RK for a while.
Received an email stating that MC02 Red Alert wasnt able to be found at their warehouse. Received a refund for item and shipping difference in a day.
My email........
"Hi
Just wondering when my Order **** will be shipped?
Thanks
Me"
Their reply after 2 weeks......
"Hello,
Thank you for your email.
Your order is oversized.
Our staff should have emailed you the details.
Yours Sincerely,
Daniel

And I'm still waiting for the 'details'. This place really irritates me.
RK is launching its new website in the next day or two, according to its Facebook page. Its current website is unvailable during this period. Would like to hear your feedback on the new website once it comes online.
