could someone please tell me what all the abbreviations are??
i can't really list the ones ive seen, i mean I know MSIB but PM took me a while... and some are attached to toys...
MISB = Mint in Sealed Box
MOSC = Mint on Sealed Card
MIB = Mint in Box (not sealed)
PM = Private Message (through this messageboard)
If you need any other abbreviations explained, just list them and people here will give you the answers.
FAB
RID?
Hahah still getting used to everything..
FAB = Fast Action Battlers - The cheap movie toys with gimmick weapons.
RID = Robots in Disguise - This mostly refers to the Pre Armada Japanese cartoon series and toy line under the same name.
Robot In Disguise is a toyline/TV series that is the Hasbro adaptation of a Japanese series/line called Transformers Car Robot. RiD features a few extra figures and variants not seen in Car Robot such as Bruticus and some Spychangers etc. although Car Robot's Brave Maximus (called Fortress Maximus in the RiD cartoon) was never released as a toy in RiD.
MISB or MIB can also stand for Mint In (Sealed) Bag, but it's rare for Transformers to come bagged (only some mail away and convention exclusives).
There's also MISP or MIP which stands for Mint In Sealed Package or Mint In Package. "Package" is a more generic/universal term which can refer to any kind of packaging - box, card, bag etc.
i believe its a japanese Metalforce metallic version optimus prime

Hey guys I found a mib takara g1 countdown it's $162us plus shipping, it is mint complete with all paperwork and phome insert, I want to ask the seller a question for a bargain so how can I find his e-mail, not the ebay e-mail the really e-mail? Also how come the hasbro g1 countdown doesn't come with 5 micromasters it only comes with 1?
I don't know what a "really" email is but why not just email the seller via his/her ebay email address??Quote:

If you're asking for the seller to cut his price, there's a very good chance he would report you.
As for why the Hasbro one doesn't - Takara released Countdown later, and decided to include extra figures.
Can someone plz tell me the different assortment to t/f sizes, e.g deluxe so on. for the new animated toys
is the áctivators' the size of t/f legends?
what are the small size transformers for the animated series.?
Animated has Deluxe, Voyager, Leader and Supreme size classes (price points).
Activators will replace Scout Class, which replaced Basics during Cybertron.
Does anyone think we're a chance of seeing a repaint of Incinerator in the Takara black colour scheme before the movie line disappears? I wouldn't buy the boring Hasbro grey one, but despite the no-hands issue I'm strangely drawn to the Takara version. I mean, they've repainted EVERYTHING else, haven't they? Has there been even a rumour along these lines?
So why don't you just get the Takara version? That's what I did. It really looks nice IMO. :)
I guess I just wouldn't bother trying to import such a flawed figure, but I know I'd cave if I saw it at retail in that colour scheme.
Considering how outrageous the RRP for Transformers are locally, it cost me about the same to import one.
thnxs for the reply :)
Hay does any1 have information on the 'transformers timeline' toys?
i saw a alpha trion , dirge and thrust from
http://www.redmercury.co.jp/shop/02t...y=TRANSFORMERS and want more information on it
Is wheeljackslab a bad seller on ebay because I want some micromaster from him?
OH CRAP, THE FIRST BOTCON toys i actually wanted, again more information please , just to get me started :)
Interesting little site you have there.
Can anyone tell me (someone who speaks Japanese, maybe Gok?) what that site is charging for the Cybertron Galvatron? Kind of a grail of mine at the moment.
And another thing, how are they able to sell botcon exclusives?
That was the link - > http://www.redmercury.co.jp/shop/02t...y=TRANSFORMERS
I didn't consider them a bad ebay seller, just difficult to get payment to. Because I wasn't U.S confirmed address I couldn't use Paypal so i had to go with the old method of Western Union Money order. Talk about causing the process to drag out, and to think this is what I used to do all the time:eek:.
Thanatos: <swear words> that site is f'expensive!! They're selling Cybertron Galvatron for 23100JPY which is about 242AUD. Screw that!
1orion2many: you are correct. Those prices are rip offs... (-_-)
Found this on amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-M...5133829&sr=1-7
It's a preorder for volume 2 of the more than meets the eye series, with a December 2008 date. I didn't know IDW had commited to reprinting these. Is this old news? If it's true it's very good news for the likes of me.
Are any of these guys worth it ? http://search.stores.ebay.com/KSGJ03...001372QQsofpZ0
I need pretenders!
Re: IDW MTMTE
It's not new news that IDW said they would republish them, but it is new news that theres a date. However some Amazon preorders don't always happen but I hope it does because it means they might do the hardcover collection of all eight issues in one. :)
so goki how much are they really worth?
how much are what worth?
I prefer trade paperbacks as opposed to single issue comic books (It's some wierd fetish but I just love how they look all standing next to each other in my book shelf:o)What is the best website to buy transformers tradepaperback comics from? I've had a bit of a hunt around and can't find a decent site.
I also prefer the TPB not so much for its shelf value but because you get to read the story all in one go without braking pace. However this is becoming a bit of a hassle as many fans have access to the individual issues (i don't, would need to mail order), therefore read the stories months before I do and tend to comment or mention things about it in the assumption that everyone else has read it too, inadvertently spoiling it for me :(
Amazon is your best bet. If you want to stay in Australia, Classic comics are online at eBay: pino65
They're a brick and mortars store in Melbourne. I get all my comics from there. If they dont have it in store you can always ask them to order it in. Just message them or call them. They offer the best retail prices in Australia I've found.
Yeah that too Kup. I prefer to sit down and read the story in one sitting.
Thanks STL I'll give them a try:)
