Ah.
Carry on then. :)
Lol, JonWes got you again. Seriously, that place is really flawed. That's about the nicest way to say it!
How exactly were you "disrespectful to others"???!! Apparently now, according to the Org, black plastic has feelings?? Or do they mean Mattel? Either way, it makes no sense.
It's funny, I saw a different forum (which I won't mention) that discussed "bad Moderators" the other day, and of course the Org was brought up, and 3 Mods there (ones starting with the letters J, D, and F) all got a mention as being the worst. You don't even have to point it out, because clearly everyone all over the net can already see it.
I don't bother with the Org anymore. I can't even be bothered posting "I told you so" in the countless threads where Matty Apologists are now questioning Scott's credibility, since he's back tracked on so many of his recent "promises", after they defended him so vigorously during the Sub campaign! It's painful!
I have noticed that people these days forget very quickly. They will be defending Scott/Mattel again and swallowing every promise next year when subs go on sale.
Just look at the US elections. Republicans left the US in a state of economic, political and social chaos. This was done through constant and shameless lies, media manipulation and selfish interests that brought us into two senseless wars. Some argue that this expedited the US into a decline it will not be able to recover from.
Four years later, people appear to have forgotten about all that and are still willing to vote in the same type of people from the Republican party and to make it worse, the extremist right wing sides of it seem to be as popular a s ever.
So, apparently Frosta's got reversed forearms as well now... Pretty cool huh?
I swear, if this is true, this line is almost dead! It's like Mattel doesn't want it to continue! I'm having a good ol' laugh at the responses by Matty Apologists on the Org though... Saying things like, "Meh, it's an easy swap", "What's the big deal, just swap them" or "Hopefully it's like Swiftwind: some are, some aren't! I guess that's better then all of them being reversed"...
Um, NO!!! We (the, you know, CUSTOMERS who, you know BOUGHT the figures) shouldn't have to "swap" them, or "be happy" if the issue is not "widespread". What a joke!
I just saw the photos.
Wow, they really did ruin Frosta. Here is a list from Staff of Ka at He-Man.org:
- - - Updated - - -
Frosta
Non requested translucent ‘Ice’ hair
Gray hip pegs
Half Painted bodice
Gray instead of white
Badly designed face apps
The gray is what kills it for me. What the hell were they thinking? She is Ice/Snow themed! Not a garage mechanic!
The face is also horrendous. That photoshop in which the mouth is colored properly changes her expression considerably which shows that it's not so much the sculpt but the horrible paint apps that ruin it. The possibility of reversed forearms (again!) also shows that they don't give a damn.
Another figure ruined in the transition from the 4H prototype to Scott and the moron Mattel designers.
It is also amazing how the figures that Scott cares about never have these Quality Control or cheapening out issues. Not that he cares since he has already managed to con a lot of people into buying the sub for another year
I'll need to see Frosta in-hand before I make up my mind. I'm not sold on the face as it really doesn't look like Four Horseman design to me. It annoys me that Mekanek, Rattlor and D.B. Skeletor look great but Frosta gets the shaft.
Looks like DB Skeletor is cast in black plastic (and painted blue) as well... I've read that it's showing through where the paint is chipping.
And there's your proof. Ha ha haha! Sad days for the Org.
On the Frosta side of things, erm, the arms didn't look reversed to me, but her hair looks like it almost locks her head in one place.
I saw this http://thefwoosh.com/2012/09/first-l...lassics-frosta
hmmm, there's something off about how Frosta looks, like she's bucktooth or something... so far from that pretty image in the bio at the backing card. She looks so feminine and sweet there and then you get a manly dikey faced figure :mad:. Plus is it me or does the figure look kinda fat?
I don't like Rattlor. He should have come with a 200x head. He looks way too vintage for my tastes and silly when compared to the Snake Men guards.
I will probably end up selling him depending if there is a custom head and shoulder/chest harness armor.
Damn it! The Snakemen also have painted black plastic
Not a fan of the Snakemen two-pack, and not sucha fan of Rattlor either. I'll get him but I also wish his head was less vintage. I have the horrible feeling a General Rattlor figure has been planned at the cost of the General Armour and 200X head.
Well, I'm happy with all the Snake Men (except King Hiss' reversed shoulders ). But I really like Rattlor (as a vintage fan) and I think the 2-pack is awesome. Bring on Tung Lashor... No Lashor, We bash ya!
That Frosta is a bit scary, though Mind you not a big fan of the face sculpts for any of the female Masters, there all a tad retro (except Shadow Weaver she's cool).
What's with that bio though? Are the real names based on people how work at Mattel or what? Is The Mighty Spectors real name Scott Awesome?
I quite like Catra's face. It harkens back to the female face style of 80s cartoons imo. Her and She-Ra are the only ones I've seen in person though.
Just in case anyone doubted Scott was a complete jerk...
Scott's reply...Quote:

That alone shows you that he is in the wrong job. He is not just dealing with some fan, he is dealing with one of his paying customers! He shouldn't loose sight of that so easily. It is so unprofessional to response with such sarcasm.
Plus his 'wannabee' fan celebrity status and fan interactions have actually done more harm than good when you look at it objectively. Fan interaction is fine as long as you are aware that he is also your customer!
Again, he just lists all the things that he wants "credit" for. That's the third time in the past 2-3 months that I can specifically remember (in writing) Scott actually doing this.
Other choice quotes...
So... who does???Quote:

There are so many unanswered questions on that forum... plus, saying "no plans right now" or "I'll pass that along" all the time (without follow-ups) are not ANSWERS to the questions.
So it's now my fault? (!) :mad:Quote:

In response to the rest, somebody on the Org wrote exactly what I thought...
Is this Scott's new tactic to avoid endless criticism? Is he sick of "copying and pasting" answers, and now wants us to just stop complaining about, you know, every little "minor" issue? :eek:Quote:
The management may cancel the line because of negativity bothers me. First it was sub or the line may end, now it sounds like we are being told to not complain and shut up or the line may end. That's just not going to fly.
Well, that's today's lesson folks... Shut up and stop complaining... or else they might just cancel the line!
Enormous six page rant cancelled for brevity.
I thought Scott's response was actually funny, but then I've always enjoyed watching the outraged rabble scream and claw at each other.
I'll stick with MOTUC until it's dying breath. It's still the best collector toy line out there and not much comes close to it. I'm just ignoring the extraneous crap such as Mattel politics and production errors. Just keep giving me neat toys please.
Oh how I lol'd at that! Would have loved to see the SW fan rage play out over that.:D:D:DQuote:
How about that Luke that had his hair sculpted the wrong direction
I am a MOTU fan but I have to completely disagree. When you look at the line objectively, it is not that great. There are much, MUCH better collector lines out there and at comparative cheaper prices like the NECA stuff.
MOTUC was 'good' (not great) when it first started and it is now mediocre at best and that's just on the action figures themselves, not including the politics (which is actually what's causing the figures to be crap, painted over black plastic and all).
But that's my point they all look retro to me, they all have those harder edged faces and heavy make up look that just screams 80's to me. No that this is an issue, as it is supposed to be a retro line.
NECA definitely, not to mention Pallisades, I would rate the toys I have from those companies as better bang for my buck than my MOTUC figures. Even the old Toybiz Marvel line from a few years back, though I suppose production costs have risen since then.
I really, really love the MOTUC figures (sculpt/design wise) but QC and production errors make it hard to say convincingly that the line is outstanding. It definitely used to be much better, but I feel Mattel have gotten lazy and sloppy with their execution of these great figures.
Generally I really like NECA figures too. Some have issues, but mostly they're great. It's funny, I look at the recent TMNT Classics and I think they're better than MOTUC classics (still, the latter's been running much longer). What I love most, however, is that Playmates gave us the 4 Turtles straight up. Mattel would never have done that - they would space out the line as long as possible with fillers, and then cancel it incomplete. That's why Ghostbusters failed! And it's why MOTUC is dropping off. Mattel gives an A-lister here, a C-lister there, followed by a Concept character, and so on... Playmates got that right!
hahah:p
The thing is, they're capable of making a good face sculpt for a female figure that matches their toon character - Bubble She-ra, Catra... but this, ugh. She needs to have a softer face.
So far there's been almost "great Rebellion character, mostly Horde figures ( which I don't mind), but cmoooon that's just not up to scratch:(... where's Glimmer, Queen Angela, heck even Madame Razz , hope they don't mess the faces of these characters too.
You have no idea how many times and for how long people have asked this to Scott.
Now I honestly don't even want to see those characters since Scott seems to foul up any figure he doesn't care about. It is almost as if he does it on purpose since it takes up a slot for one of the characters he may personally want.
Scott's latest round (or 2) of answers have left many utterly speechless. His behaviour is even more unprofessional than normal!
I just feel like Scott's either quit, or has been told his days as Brand Manager of MOTUC are coming to an end. Perhaps the whole line is going to end soon (how does that make Subscribers, who bought in to 2013 because of the 2014 promises, feel?). Dunno - seems just seem a little weird right now.
You can read it between the lines, he doesn't have much of a 'poker face' when it comes to keeping emotion out of his postings. Mattel management has probably killed the line and since it was Scott's 'purpose for living' he is trying to hold it all in. After all, he is ego driven and revels at the whole 'Celebrity' status the line has given him with the MOTU fandom. Once MOTUC is gone, he will just be 'plain and simple' Scott.
Expect the formal announcement some time soon.
I think you're both right!
As I wrote above, this is the feeling I'm getting after reading his recent posts. He's certainly taken it to a whole new level. His behaviour (for a paid professional) is astounding. So, the obvious conclusion to be drawn, is that things don't look good for the future of MOTUC, or Scott, or possibly both!
Scott's certainly distancing himself...

This is the same guy who recently asked "Do I get any credit?"??!! Give me a break!
I read this and immediately picked up 2 things: 1, Scott only wants customers/fans who praise and thank him (for what?? - apparently he has no power whatsoever, according to his above statements), and 2, the line clearly has an "end in sight".Quote:

Only problem is, there are several people noting they've received an email from DR/Matty saying their item (the 2-pack) has been shipped :eek: So, how does that work? Maybe Scott's telling the truth, and he really does have no idea what's going on and no power to stop it. Fingers crossed there's any Snake Men left for the REAL sale day next week  not to mention for the Subscribers (reminds me of the Fisto debacle).Quote:
