i actually bought other stuff as well , parts for a custom gen1 soundwave that im making to include a LCD chest for actually mp4 movies playing...:D ...so shipping for me was abit more...
the mini dinobot so worth it....they are actually the same as i remembered them, dont have an original to compare it too ... the only thing is that slag and snarl hands detaches when transform in alt mode.
Not Breakdown and Wildrider arrived today. Fantastic figures but way smaller than expected :-)

Got not Breakdown today too.
Much smaller than I'd thought, and I'm not entirely convinced that the hands will survive in the long term - the gun grip is a bit too thick I think.
Really nice though. Intricate.
Are those two just retool/reshells of each other or are they just of similar design?:)
also got my Not breakdown and wildrider from TFsource as well today....:D

now have to wait for the other 3 to get my Not Menasor.
The Cunning Stunts

Fantastic sculpts and great toys but all the same issues that most people have already identified (price, tabbing of parts)
^^Cool. I just got mine today thanks to Karnivool Prime:);):D
Awesome thing
Picked up some batteries for mine yesterday. He looks awesome with the yellow eye, although it is a little too bright. His arm cannon light is ok, but where that one really shines (hehe) is the alt mode.
Just be careful. Batteries don't really go in or come out easily. I had to take apart the forearm to get that one out.
I'll have to get some batteries myself. I quite like the figure, might get around to transforming him this arvo, as well as taking photos lol
Optics, i don't think you've folded his heels out, at least i can't see them.
a third party Bonanza this week, T-Bone, Harbone and Car Bone...er...Crash!

and spiffy Vehicle modes-
http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...ps92d97863.jpg
And Not-Hardhead with Not-Chromedome, despite not being from the same company i think they look good together.
http://i1249.photobucket.com/albums/...psc5f2df36.jpg
Aaand I got the silver Dr. Wu weapons for Prime Optimus. but i forgot to take pisof them...they're neat and shiny but the plug for the silverswords is two small for the silver guns and doesn't fit together like first edition Optimus' weapons did and i'm slightly disappointed by that.
What's Hardbone like? Mine should be arriving in the post some time this week
CR1025. Its a watch battery so I got 2 from a watch repair shop. I tried places like Battery World but they came up with nothing. Even telling me that I had the code wrong because they'd never heard of that one before (even though it was listed on their website )
So I was able to get mine the other day.
Still need to buy the batteries for it since mine didnt come with any.
I took this shot of him.

I was trying to copying this picture.

Its to bad he doesn't have a waist pivot joint.
Im planning to paint the inner part of his eye either black or dark purple.
This is my first 3rd party figure and im really impressed.
He's actually a lot of fun. Transformation is easy, and he has a knife and grenade that store in his legs that combine with his rifles to make a bayonet and silencer.
he seems more like a Hasbro toy than the Fansproject stuff, like an actual mass-market toy you can play with rather than an adult collectible that can transform.
there was only one tiny issue and that's the feet were swapped. lucky that's an easy thing to do.
Got my Hardbone and Chromedome this week, and I agree, they go pretty well together. They both need a few minor paint touch ups to really sell the G1 homage, but overall very happy with them.
Chromedome was scary tight, though...
I got all this last month from BBTS...

What you see is the new Crossfire set for Bruticus ,with the little bonus Quake aka Shockwave, Demolition Crue Apex and Geminus, T-Bone and Card Crash, Yin and Yang cassette-bots (which I quite like for some reason, like G2 cassettes lol)
Holy Moly! i have just found this thread and the 3rd party stuff is awesome! Its better tha half the Hasbro/Takara stuff. The Green Giant 61 is unbelievable, i want one, how much do they go for? (insert cringe here):)
Maketoys' Green Giant was going for $360 cheapest. Not sure if you can still get a good price elsewhere, but forum member Gasaraki recently obtained one from ehobbybaseshop.com :)
They are pretty much sold out everywhere. You may be lucky enough to find an obscure online shop with one, but more than likely you'll have to resort to eBay. And the price isn't going down that's for sure.
Oh, just remembered. It may be easier (and cheaper) to pick up a yellow version. Just remember that their are some differences between the 2.
I went with Giant for a few reasons:
- Gestalt size - Giant is a bit smaller than Hercules, which is good because I have very limited display space. I'm using one of those
cubey thingsExpedit shelves from Ikea and Giant only just squeezes in.- Aesthetic - I prefer the look of Giant and his individual bots over the TFC version. Maketoys' bots have more intricate transformations and I think are closer to the original toys than TFC's
- Price - Giant was about $100 cheaper than Herc, excluding the 'Rage' addon kit. This may have changed now that Giant's out of production, and complete Herc sets including 'Rage' have been getting cheaper.
- Giant's individual bots have ankle tilt! A minor reason, perhaps, but for bots the size of TFC's not to have ankle tilts is a pretty omission.
Quality-wise, I've heard that Herc's plastic is a little softer, which leads to some mushy detailing. Also I think Herc's shoulder joint ratchets can weaken over time. Giant's plastic is a bit harder, but that makes some of his bits very tough to peg together. My fingers were pretty sore after transforming him the first time. The plastic also tends to deform suddenly if you apply too much pressure, as I found out. :( Nothing to be overly concerned about, but just be aware that there's very little flex there and be careful not to twist things the wrong way.
Have a hunt on YouTube for some Giant vs. Herc comparisons, being able to see the bots and gestalt side by side really helped me make up my mind. Each camp has merits so you'll almost certainly be happy whichever way you go.
Yeah I'll echo what Iriorne has said, both sets have thier plus and minuses. At the end, have a look your self and see which 'style' appeals to you more.
I personally went with Giant as I like it's aesthetic looks better (feels more 'Classics' than Hercules) plus the robot designs were also more appealing both aesthetically and engineering wise.

i couldn't find a thread for 3rd party questions so I'll put it here. Does the Fansproject Bruticus utilise existing Hasbro/Takara transformers? I only ever see reference to Explorer and Munitioner. Could someone enlighten me please?
The fansproject Bruticus guys are just Swindle and Blastoff (Munitioner and Explorer respectively) which combines with Energon, ROTF or United Bruticus (yes the big ugly one:p), replacing 2 of the members and adding new parts. ;)
It's quite hard to believe that they could make a not-so great figure into what is that Masterpiece-like god.
If I had the funds I'd pick the energon or ROTF ones and the crossfire sets.
Basically, you need ROTF/Energon/United as well as the sets. If you can afford it, I'd go for it. :D:cool:
In answer, yes. You need the main bruticus mold that came out in Energon, re-released under rotf or the new Asia exclusive. All are different in colours, but would all look fine with the fansproject figures. The bruticus I got was rotf version. Looks great with the fansproject addition.
Received the Junkion headmasters of Megatron, Ultra Magnus and Blaster today.
I plan to use one in a custom and the other two with Fortress Maximus and/or Metroplex when I get them.
Thanks, i figured i should just jump in and get one so i searched some classifieds and managed to pick up Green Giant 61 from about an hour away from home for $380. I'm pretty happy with that considering i only found out what it was a week ago:D.
I had a busy weekend so only managed to transform them into their individual robots, tomorrow i will make them into Devastator.....sorry, i mean Green Giant 61:D.

I'm pretty happy with him for my first 3rd party Transformer. The quality is good. I am now researching other 3rd Party stuff so everyone be prepared for many questions to come:D.
I am actually not that big a fan of that particular Bruticus. It kinda looks like a bare robot with some vehicles stuck on as an afterthought. I like the cohesiveness of Green Giant61, Hercules, Feral Rex and the like.
