Anime Export have the LG Megs up for preorder, pretty good price too.

So which way did you go?
I have decided to let my membership lapse, I've had two emails now warning me that there are no credit card details on record. which is funny since I manually removed them myself the day before renewal was due. It's weird that there isn't just an option to select. please don't renew my membership.
Which set of generations stunticons to get, the Hasbro set or the Takara set?
they have clearly remoulded/painted deadend to create a wildrider. And it looks to me like Motor master is a much darker grey, and his silver highlights stand out a lot more, especially on the front of the truck cab and he has some purple paint apps that show up in combined mode on the legs that the Hasbro version doesn't have.
I like the contrast but it's also, less G1ish, at least as far as the toys go.
I am trying to decide if I want to order them on Anime Export before their pre-orders close, but I wonder if I care enough about the differences to justify waiting till August, or paying the extra against the mid year sale prices that I'm pretty confidant the Hasbro release will be here in time for.
penny for peoples thoughts?
Hasbro's is more toy-accurate and TakaraTOMY's is more show-like. So I guess if you're more keen on having show-like colours, and you're patient enough, then perhaps consider pre-ordering the TakaraTOMY versions. Otherwise I think that the Hasbro versions are fine.
If you're keen on Wildrider and definitely not Offroad, then perhaps Takara. You get all of the G1 guys in there and don't have to go through the possible hassle of tracking down a Hasbro Break-neck when he comes out. If you're not as fussed, either way is fine.
Which should I get? Leader Thrilling 30 Jetfire, or CW Voyager Silverbolt, Deluxe Skydive and Deluxe Alpha Bravo
I've caved and Pre-ordered at Anime Export, I should be able to ship it with Tracks later in the year.
I decided that I like the darker colouring of motormaster, it makes the combined form look less washed out.
Then I saw this at TFW.
I think WildRider looks good, his chest is very similar to dead end with just different colours.
As Paulbot pointed out on Twitter, Drag strip is a little bland but looks more like the original toy and show model. The link above shows some black colouring on his fuselage that represents the second pair of wheels.
Is it worth spending the $50+ (?!) on G1 Hound's jerry can in order to have a complete Hound to sell, i.e., will having the jerry can improve my chances of selling or getting a higher price at auction?
I don't think, so but if you want to buy mine for $50 let's speak :)
Cancelled an order of Hasbro leader Ultra Magnus in favour of the Takara version, but looking at pics of TakTom's version tonight I think I might go back to Hasbro's.
The combination of the dark blue and the extra yellow highlights for the most part. I had the same issue with MP Ultra Magnus, I want a more toy like light blue rather than the cartoon one. The colouring on Ambus/Alpha Trion is another case for the Hasbro one.
The yellow highlights are surprisingly more IDW Comic accurate, as for the blue - could just be the exposure of the photo, will be hard to tell until there's a comparison shot between the two.... I currently have the Hasbro version, but will be double dipping on the Takara too.
Honestly I bought the Hasbro one to get Minimus Ambus and I'm getting the TT version also. I figure if I combine Hasbro's Minimus Ambus and TT's Magnus armour then I will have the most media accurate version of UM.
I'm thinking of getting CW Hot Spot. Do I buy it online now, or wait for a possible release at Australian retail?
I'd go online but only if the price is similar.
We'd expect it to be $50 on the shelf so if you find it for anywhere up to $60 posted online, you're probably paying about the same.
And while I don't normally suggest them, you could try this:

Even as a die-hard anti-online shopping local-retail supporter, I would say... buy it online. The distribution of Transformers in Australia has become so unpredictable in Australia, that if you really want a toy, I'd say get it online rather than taking the gamble to see whether or not it will come out locally. Sure, these toys might come out locally and you might find one in your area, and it might work out cheaper (esp. if there's a sale)... but there're just too many 'mights' and given the track record of distribution in this country, I wouldn't risk it. :(
The CW Stunticons have been released here, and I've found Motormaster and the Deluxes (though sporadically), but I've never been able to find Blackjack.

it'll be roughly $48 delivered to your door -cheaper if you bundle it with some other goodies
i wouldn't even bother waiting for an Australian retail release
Thanks all. I was considering waiting because at a retail price of $50, I could conceivably save a bit on postage (I figured if I waited, I wouldn't be kicking myself for not waiting and spending more than I 'had' to).
I ordered online anyway :D
Hmm, Takara Magnificus (RTS Perceptor redeco) is ~US$68 @ BBTS atm... so about AU$95, I'm just wondering if it's worth it? I'm looking to pad out my 'Cons, and I do like exclusive releases....
Sounds like the same reasons I got it. I don't have any particular connection to the character, but black & red goes so well together for 'Cons. I was also looking for another excuse to expand on my Classicsverse collection with a fairly fun mould that hasn't been been repurposed into another character until this release.

MP black rodimus 186aud shipped. What do you guys think?
It's not insanely cheap, he has 10 to sell so maybe bought them at a good price as a lot or has been trying to scalp them individually and now that the new Rodimus news is out he's trying to move them on before they become a serious liability. He has reasonable feedback, it's coming up at AU$226 for me.
Ugh, at pains on whether to get 2 items (being tempted with the ebay 15% sale):
YOTH Optimus - Ive only been collecting the main MP releases numerically (subbing in Hasbro versions where necessary) and only getting repaints/redecos that are unique characters (yes to Clampdown, no to G2 Sideswipe). But for some reason I'm tempted...
Secondly, I'm collecting all the Soundwave/Blaster Cassettes, including redecos of the same character (eg I got YOTG Soundwave), but not multiples of the same toy (eg I got encore tapes instead of orig G1).
But I don't know whether I want the Linkin Park release! Given it's effectivey 3 unique tapes, I'm at odds, but then I cant say I own them all (minus the 4 jap dino cassettes of course)
Any objective opinions out there?
I'm a fan of the YOTH Prime colours. If the 15% off brings it down to a good price shipped then it is recommended though there is a chance a board member could also be in the market to offload theirs. I'm also in the same boat about repaints and redecos and would usually need more than just a slight paint job or new head. The YOTH Prime though just seems like a different character with that paint job. If they ever make an Xzibit Pimp my Ride fig, I'm so buying that to display between my Hasbro MP10 and YOTH MP10.
Do y'all think it's a better idea to chuck in Air Raid into my Amazon order instead of CW Hot Spot, or risk trying to track him down here? Hot Spot just hit, didn't he?
I think I've heard of hotspot turning up at Toymate stores.
I think Handsprime recently spotted it at Toymate Top Ryde
Pre-Order MP Hot Rod or hunt down a Hasbro MP Grimlock
Maybe pre-order MP Hot Rod from an online store like HLJ which does not take money up front and hunt down MP Grimlock in the meantime. Prob have about 4 months to search for a Grimlock at the right price. If you then get a Grimlock you can decide what you want to do with the pre-order as you may also have funds for it at the time of release.
Pre-order MP Hot Rod. Assuming that MP Grimlock's inflated price will not increase too much in the next half year or so, you're better off getting Hot Rod while he's cheap, rather than risk falling into a situation where you hunt & buy MP Grimlock at scalper's prices and then find that MP Hot Rod is sold out & have to resort to scalper's prices as well.
If you can't find Hot Spot at toymate, check out Kmart. Don't go to Hornsby since it's boring there, but Castle Hill might have Hot Spot there
I'm not definitely getting either but an opened MP Bumble for about $80 or G2 Bee for about $70 sealed? From what I've read both sites are alright but I don't have a preference to either.
