Yeah, the 29th.
But it seems some retailers already have them in stock.

I got my HLJ payment invoice email this morning and sorted it so I'm ever more eager now!!
I've said before and I'll say again, he will be great on my BW shelf. I don't own a Primal toy yet, so was stoked when he was announced. And I bought my Cheetor because I didn't think he'd be done, but that's another story lol.
The other BW I have will stand proud alongside this beast.
For those interested, this guy hit shelves for sale today here in HK.
And now the wait on PC begins...
I still think they're going to offer the wrist computer with a Primal repaint/other BW figure at a later date:

The closest would be the alternate faces for Ultra Magnus that came with Delta Magnus:

That precedent makes me think they'll do the same for Primal.
Didn't Ultra Magnus already come with those alternate faces anyway? I don't have mine out so I can't check. And of course now that I'm trying to google it, I can't find any clear images Haha
And a couple of swappable faces (that the original release had - or at least had something that used the same fixing/hole) is different to a whole new extra that you won't be able to buy separately, basically leaving that hole in the original release Primal's arm for no reason. It feels strange for TT to go to the trouble of moulding a peg hole for a possible future repaint, when all they would have to do is "remold" an alternate panel if they decide to release a repaint/retool.
Seems like a weird move if that's what TT end up doing.
The new eyes that came with Delta Magnus are the rectangular and bug-eyed ones:

So old stock eyes:

It makes them money, because a collector will be compelled to buy the repaint/new figure. Kind of like how people just bought Soundblaster to get Ratbat.
Of course, it's all just speculation on my part.
I have this preordered and paid for but still my main interest for him is to stand beside a big purple t-rex MP sometime in the future.

Damn, I almost want a second one to keep in beast mode
Shipped let's see how long to get here.
That came up a few months ago in this topic, and it is worth quoting myself here... :p
I think they gave some examples, but I can't remember any of them. :o
I think it was speculated, or even noted at the time, that the Masterpiece Star Saber was designed to accommodate a Masterpiece Victory Leo toy, if the designers were ever asked to create one.
A couple of video reviews -- one in Japanese and another in English from Optibotimus.
The Optibotimus review is in better quality, but the Japanese review shows some of the features that Optibotimus neglects to show, and is a lot more fun in general.

My order with PC is still coming up as "unfulfilled". The same could be said about every Beast Wars fan this year.
It's all the pics that are killing me. We've been waiting a year and a half for him!
Bet you wish they'd stop monkeying around with you! :p
Just as long as Verno does go Ape over it :D
I was thinking this is probably one of the best monkey figures period, not just amongst Transformers. I need a skyscraper model for some King Kong photos!
And then it dawned on me, they should totally make a Donkey Kong version... they could base it off his wind up toy design from the Mario vs DK series:

Hey it would beat a universe coloured repaint right?!
Jokes aside, gorillas are apes not monkeys. IMO the best monkey Transformer we've had so far has been B'Boom/Apache, which is why I was playing around with him on New Year's this year to herald in the Year of the Monkey. ;) Not sure what I'm going to do for this year's NYE as next year is the Year of the Chicken and the one Lunar Zodiac animal which has never been done as a TF alt mode is the chicken. :( It's the one beast mode that I would desperately like to see done at least once as a Transformer's alt mode (although I hope they don't cock it up :p). I think the nearest thing I have to a chicken may be the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Joke of the Day...
Q: What kind of friend is Optimus Primal?
A: A Prime mate.
Lol, i kept thinking it's just a matter of time before someone calls me out for using an "incorrect" name for the title of the review thread ... But never thought anyone could be bothered to pull me up on monkey ;)
I haven't researched this but i think it's baboons that have the red ass like Primal here? So im gonna say he's actually a made up species combining all forms of monkey/ape/gorilla/donkey ... in my personal goat-verse :D
In the Transformers universe Optimus Primal is a silverback gorilla. Despite his name, B'Boom isn't a baboon but actually a mandrill, which is a close relative of the baboon but still an entirely different species of monkey (both are Old World monkeys). Then there's Bantor whose beast mode is a fusion between a baboon and a tiger. Fuzors... the Transformers' answer to The Wuzzles. ;)
The wuzzles were awesome
