MOTUC Stone Wall diorama

I have been working on a MOTUC Stone Wall diorama/back drop to take photos with. It is currently still WIP but I have just finished painting it.

The stone bricks are made from air dry clay and the main dio is styrofoam. I would have liked the stones to be more uniform but I have never done any sculpting before so I will just say I meant for it to have the rough, hand made, uneven look :tjlol:

I still need to touch up some of the gaps, add some ground cover and some plants but here it is so far;

That stone wall looks just fine. It's a good backdrop for MOTUC and has Grayskull feel to it. Well done!

really well done i like it heaps. would look cool with some dungeon chains hanging from it.

Thanks. As I replied elsewhere.... when I was building it I thought about taking In Progress shots but because I didn't really know what I was doing or if it would even turn out I didn't bother with it.

I still have some clay left over so I am going to make a smaller scale version for my Son so I will do a tutorial for that one. But that won't be until I finish this one.

I can give you a thourough explaination how I did it at Armeggeddon ;)

Those are really awesome!

The lack of uniformity on each stone actually serves to give it a more realistic look. The green 'moss' on the stones is also very impressive.

This could easily pass as a legit 'prop' wall.

An excellent job dude as one of the hardest things to avoid in drawing/painting/sculpting walls is the 'Tiling' effect and you've achieved this quite well. ;):D

Well it has been a while since I have done anything with this. I have now added the ground cover and some vines and moss. I think I am happy with it now. I might still go back to it one day and touch it up but for now it will stay as is.

Love it!! It looks so cool with the moss & ground cover. You need to do a tutorial for your next one ;) Or at least start mass-producing these so I can get one :D
