Anyone have a transformer tattoo?

( hopefully i put this in the right section...pls move if its not )

hey guys...

i've been thinking of getting a transformer tattoo for awhile now, but just haven't seemed to be able to settle on what i'd get. ( i do have a few idea's though...:D lol )

what are peoples thoughts around here?

does anyone here have one?

surely someone's gotta have an autobot symbol on their butt cheek, or a decepticon logo somewhere.

maybe someone has gone the whole hog....and we'll see an optimus prime backjob! :p

anyways...

just curious to hear if anyone has done it

I'm a clean skin but a few members have some awesome tatts.

Fatbot has a cool Optimus on his arm
Towers Spy has some cybertronian text tatts
Scattershot has the autobot logo on his arm.

Just to name a few,

I wear Transformers temporary tattooes, but don't have any permanent ones. I can't stand needles! (>o<)

yeah....they do hurt gok, no denying that! i like your solution mate.....but for me, the thought of having a half finished picture has been enough of a driving force in the past.

i've been thinking about getting soundwave's box art on my left arm....flowing half way down my forearm, or getting the decepticon logo on the inside of my left wrist....autbot on the right.

i've always thought long and hard before i got any of my tattoo's...it'll be the same with this too.

SilverFromOz has a maximal logo on one of his shoulders.
I know another guy who has heaps of cool tats, Autobot and decepticon logos, He man, Skeletor, Thundercats logo, the Hulk, just to name a few.

Personally, I think they look cool but the thought of going under the needle isn't very appealing, and what happens if I get flabby or really ripped, later on and my cool logo starts to look like a badlly drawn bowl of spagetti.:D:eek:

There are some ideas here for you to look over.

Whilst I have a few tatts and still have a few more to go before I'm done, I haven't gotten around to doing anything TF related.

I am contemplating getting a piece done at the moment which is quite large and intricate (14+ hours of work) which will cover the better part of one pec, a shoulder and a lot of an upper arm.

Part of the design will incorporate an oriental theme with cherry blossoms, a geisha and a samurai.

I have been thinking of replacing the samurai with an artist's rendition of Bludgeon as he is very 'samurai-esque' and to the untrained eye, he wouldn't even appear to be a TF - which appeals to me as it doesn't look too 'cartoony'

At the moment though, it's all in the planning stage - the tattoo artist that will be doing the work (and has done my past work) is quite busy, so is still taking his time sketching up the entire design.

Whatever you end up getting, just make sure you won't regret it - what's 'cool' now, may not be so cool in 10 years and you may live to regret having something virtually permanently inked on your body.

I fainted once when a nurse took a blood sample. :p Yeah, needles and me just do not get along at all. ;)

But if I did have the guts to get a real tatt, I'd probably get an Autobot insignia on my shoulder with this Cybertronian (Autobot script to be precise) text around its circumference:

A friend of mine who's a big Star Wars fan has the Imperial Star on his shoulder with Aurabesh script written around it which reads, "For a safe and secure society." :D

Getting a tattoo is less painful than getting a needle inserted into you and them taking a blood sample.

Whilst I too dislike needles, I was a bit apprehensive when I had my first tattoo done, but to be honest, it doesn't hurt at all - more like an irritating feeling on your skin as opposed to pain.

Whilst it does draw some blood, it actually doesn't hurt - it feels more like a really bad case of sunburn which you can't rub or scratch.

Once you have had your first tattoo done, you actually get kinda addicted to the 'pain' and actually enjoy it.

Word of note though, bring an ipod or something to listen to since the sound of the needle is more annoying than it is painful.

ultra: lol @ your spaghetti comment. have you ever seen that episode of camp kill yourself ( jackass ) when stevo gets a tattoo in the back of a 4wd while bush bashing? whats meant to be a smiley face turns out to be a.....bowl of spaghetti! :p lol

vp: what your thinking of with bludgeon sounds awesome! i'd love to see the concept art your tattooist comes up with or the finished product. i hear ya about the permenancy of tatts....i've got 3 already and each one i sat on the design for over a year before getting it inked. i like the idea of putting up a pic of the tattoo you want on your mirror, seeing it everyday, then in a years time if you still love the pic as much as you did...get it. i know a few people with tattoo's they regret.....dont wanna be in that group! lol

Absolutely. I have one I regret not so much for what it is but for how the space is utilised.

Think hard kids before you get a tatt & consider the future. You may want a small piece to start but look at the space it occupies & how it will flow if you get more pieces around it or added to it.

Also have a really good think about it before you get a tatt on your wrist, hand, neck, behind the ear or forearm. I have stuff on my forearm & I either wear a suit or at worst a business shirt & that can suck when it is hot outside & you can't roll up your sleeves!

I believe i have something to contribute to this thread!

Id been thinking about this for awhile and decided to get it done right after i had a big fight with my ex. Not great reasons to do it really! But none the less i am happy with the result. Position is high on my right shoulder. I wanted a rusty, faded and warn feel about it. I'm happy with the results.
This pic was taken straight after it was done. The swelling has gone down now and it looks great IMO. This tat means a lot to me on a few different levels.

It reminds me of happier times and reminds me to never give up.

yer i got one as well, love it.:D took awhile thou to think of the design i wanted, but when you get a good artist they can decipher what you want. and it doesn't hurt that much, i was freaked the first time i got mine but it is all in the mind. really it is a graze. and i'm sure that we have all had them.

I'd go with the Cybertronian text...if only I know how to spell Arcee with it :D

But honestly, I do want a tattoo and I've been thinking about it for ten years already; and I actually have a couple of patterns I've been pondering over for ten years and they are as attractive today as they were 10 years ago. Still, I can't quite make up my mind yet... :o

I have six tattoos none TF related...........yet
I have been planning to get this (Fatbot's) for years across my shoulders, but only difference is blending red into purple to represent the two factions.

The Dinobot Tattoo is totally awesome.

Been planning for years to get an Autobot symbol on my right upper arm, and a Decepticon symbol on my left upper arm. I'm always just so worried that they will stuff it up that, as a massive TF nerd, I will look at it for the rest of my life thinking 'that's not quite right'
