The Generations line is Quit/Discontinued at Big W. It's status on the computer is Q7 as opposed to OR (on range)

The Generations Line are not store orderable. They are allocated by the buyers in support office. The line has been Q7 since xmas and I am almost certain that Big W will not be getting the new waves unless they come out for a brochure as a special purchase.
That is why I decided to import them
Sorry but just keeping you guys in the loop
Much appreciated mate. Just annoys me now that I have to order them online. If I find the funds to do so.
Ahh this explains why I haven't been able to find any Generations at Big W. That's a shame as they are the cheaper than Target!!! So far the ONLY place in my case is that only Target has gotten the RtS and latest Generations and its the most expensive at $28.
yesterday i bought generations wreck gar $23 at big w. there were some g2 optimus and bumblebees.
Hasbro did apparently say that they wanted to keep non-movie stuff on the shelves while the Dark of the Moon line is going. They damn well better.
I agree dude, but ultimately it's up to the retail store to decide what exactly they're going to carry, apparently though Australian stores haven't caught on to the fact that the Moviesverse figures Shelf-Warm like a B@#$%!!! :(
(At least they do in the Illawarra :()
I beg to differ, some do and some don't, the better stuff doesn't, bu tas soon as it's particularly crap like the scorponok or Ravage toys, they shelfwarm for ages, and I can't figure out why they insist on 8 repaints for such a crap toy.
the twins have been shelfwarming too, but other things like ironhide, and most of the main cast don't last too long.
at least not where I'm looking in chatwood, macquarie and campbletown
I'd agree on certain, specific figures, but even those linger until they go on Sale, again, at least down here in The Land of The Shelf-Warmers! :p
I tend to think though that a lot of the more popular characters, with the exception of BB, such as Bludgeon seemed to be available in rather limited quantities or maybe that was again down to location?
(moved several topics at the request of a member, so that others knew about this BigW Generations status)
Same status as New Zealand - we saw Waves 1, 3 and 5 ( 5 being Thunderwing, Skullgrin and WFC Cliffjumper). Otherwise no more Generations.
Have to hope that I can find Blurr while here on holiday
Movieverse figures don't shelf-warm in the Illawarra. Just because Uncle petes still has movie toys dating back to the preview toys doesn't mean....
I mean I like having the opportunity to buy toys I didn't buy when they first came out...Wait a minute i do buy them when they first appear.
I hate the Illawarra. This is why I don't go to stores anymore,
But but Big W sold the cheapest Deluxe figures!??! ... ....

Thanks for the heads up, certainly good information to have.
But if it's correct it's a brave move for Big W to try and get rid of the massively shelf warming RotF figures they didnt get rid of for $12, the aniamted Swindle toys left over and the few PCC early waves still on shelves until the third movie is released.
And all the better for the Wesfarmers owned stores.
Well hopefully we do see Generations Scourge and Wheeljack released here even if it's not through Big W. It's Animated all over again!!
Yeah and that Dog of a Movie ROTF also took the last waves of Universe from us. Ratchet and Hotshot. Luck for me I was importing it all.
Looks like i will be importing the rest of Generations too :D But thats okay Just need Thundercracker and Warpath :D
GAH! And so, the chances of picking up Jazz, Mindset, and Fallback seem to dissipate faster by the second.
Totally unfair, given the already limited releases.
Oh, if they are saying RTS too then yes it's not a good sign. I've seen new RTS toys in a few Big W stores recently but RTS is only a short fill-in line before DOTM (only the two waves right and we were slow to get them) so it could very well be that if they get them in and sell them they wont restock them. :(
Hi, This is not exactly correct. RTS is still an OR RP line (On range / Replenishment). These lines at this stage will continue to re-order when stocks get low automatically. Unfortunately the computer orders full cases so if there are heaps of shelf warming bumblebees, the computer will not order a new case.
Generations is a Q7 line (quit). The computer will not order more of these. The only way there will be a re-stock is if the Buyer orders in bulk and allocates them to each store in australia, usually only for events or brochure. (eg special purchase)
Just wondering, if grouping and importing like 2-3 figures of each wave, would it be cheaper compare to the shops?
Depends on where you're buying them from and how much they're charging for the figures and postage.
I generally buy an entire case of each Generations wave (from RK) and even with postage, each figure works out at about $20.
Cheaper than retail and I'm assured that I get the figures (sometimes ages before local launch, if they're even released) and it saves me the hassle of running around hunting for them.
RTS Deluxes and Voyagers are on clearance at Target stores (not sure about Legends)
How do store determine what stock to purchase i.e. how do they predict what will be "popular" or not? Are there other factors involved?
Was just thinking this the other day when looking at the copious amounts of BIS and I wouldn't have thought that these would be as popular as say movie toys which generally come out in large amounts?
