Aww man... :(
As stupidly expensive as they are, they're the sort of thing that shouldn't be KO'ed because every franchise needs it's next-to-unobtainable figures. ;)
If any good is to come out of this, hopefully it may cause TakaraTomy to take notice and quickly usher out some Reissues to combat this threat? - Another Dream you think? :o
I agree with Hursticon - I hope TakaraTomy comes out with Big Mission Cassettes Volume 4 and 5 quick smart and screws over the knockoff makers.
Oh NO! That sucks that I will now have a full set of tapebots hahahahah Not real I dont care :D:D
Man I'm sure I posted a couple of hints to this in the last few months somewhere.... its sad but the originals were out of my price range so never on the to buy list.
It would be funny if the KO makers make some major mistake when producing them and they look just plain nasty like the clear KO's :D
Aaah crud, I still don't have Squawktalk (as the combiner cassettes were never released here)... :( I couldn't care less about the Japanese cassettes --- I didn't even know they existed until 11 years ago when I saw them in my Transformers Generations book!

My aim is to collect all the Decepticon cassettes. I an't do this because I'm to scared of ending up with a KO again.
This is why i avoid all things G1. D@%m KO's
Interesting......time to tease a certain member about this :D
Well, as much as I hate KOs, I will probably buy these due to the stupidly expensive nature of them. I have the 2 Hasbro released combiners, but missing their weapons, but I really want those Dino cassettes.
I want the dino cassettes. If Takara releases their all Jap exclusive Dinocassettes as the next encore or whatever they wanna call it series wave figures then Ill grab those instead, mebbe even two. Onc set to keep imprisoned in their case forever to make em more eeeevvvviiiilllll , evil I tell yah! mwahahahaha...:o
I'd definitely buy them to complete my collection. My conscience will be clear in the knowledge that I'd also buy the encore release if/when they come out.
Whats the quality like on these? I only need Squawktalk and Beastbox (Beatbox?) and if these are decent I may go there.
Afterall, they can't be anyworse then myG1KO Frenzy
Maybe it will be worth it just to complete my decepticon cassettes. At least I know they are KO's
Tracking own originals ust isn't worth it. To many dodgy sellers. Been burnt before. At least if I buy KO i'll know they're KO so will have no reason to get mad.
Looks like they are getting closer to being released as there is a picture of one so far that has been nearly finished.
Even though I dont get KO's, I might grab a set when they come out.
Well can't say they don't listen to 'the people'.
Hes asking for people to send him headmasters, scorponok, victory or masterforce stuff.
Man would have never guessed they would do masterfrorce.
...and courtesy of Seibertron.com, further conformation of the Dino-Cassettes being KOed. :(
Oh NO! I was going to look for a real set! Sure I would have to sell my car to do it... Guess I will just have to settle for reasonable quality Near perfect reproductions. Not like I will even remember in 20 years. :D
YEAH THANKS KO DEMONS :D
OKaaay I can live with that, it's the selling of these things online at "original toy price" pricing that bugs me to no end.....
Even the original boxes and instructios, thats just nasty for someone trying to buy an original.
Reproductions would be okay if they were distinctly different in some way and in odd packaging, as it would give the fans of the toys a cheaper alternative (those who would be picky over the differences would be more likely willing to pay the price of the real things)... but releasing them exactly like the original, and in replica packaging, only benefits deceptive dealers who try to list them as originals or scuff up the packaging to make them look old/legit.
Personally, I'm just as interested in the replica packaging as I am the toys. To each their own.
The packaging samples look awesome, seem to resemble the original Takara boxes. I know I could never afford them, and wouldn't keep the packaging either (unless its cheap enough for a MISB spare), and will be just thrilled to finish my cassette collection
For better or worse it looks like these dinos are getting closer to release:

Well, just hope these don't go for e-hobby/botcon high prices even though they are 3rd party KOs, the way those headmasters went....
I don't see a problem with these, on 2 conditions. They release box art different to the originals. They've already done it with the HM heads and Reflector so there's no reason why they couldn't do the same here.
The other thing is altering the date stamp to say KO toys.
That way everyone is covered.
I'll definitely pick up a set is Grandslam and Raindance are a part of it.
I notice people here slagging off about the KO companies, but let's be honest- would the market be there if HasTak were reissuing them to being with? Look at Devastator- should have been a dead set no-brainer as reissues go. Yet it's taken almost a decade of reissues coming out and countless knock-offs before Takara woke up (Hasbro STILL seems asleep at the wheel on this one) and actually decided to reissue it.
The reality is that if it wasn't for the KO companies, we'd STILL be waiting for Devastator and things like the HM heads and combiner cassettes would never see the light of day as reissues.
Oh dear, the KO Dino cassettes of Zaur and Dial are up for pre-order...
...beware.
Super pumped for these guys.
Oh im so getting this :D
Have pre-ordered!
