Excellent work mate, the paint and parts placement look stunning and this custom's silhouette is far more in-tune with it's on-screen counterpart than that of the 'vanilla' Leader Class Jetfire and Optimus Prime toy combination; that's for sure! ;):)

1. What primer do you use?
2. What paints are you using?
3. Are you mixing anything into your paints to harden them?

4. A clear lacquer will leave a glossy finish… even glossier. If clients want that, I top them with clear lacquer.
over time, you will develop a personal touch on your customization. I encourage personal styles and respect them a lot. Continue to do what you think is best until you develop your own style.
