Looking pretty good, but I dread the price tag, given the cost of a standard MP.
Also what size is it? Is it MP01 Prime and Megs scale? Or MP10 Prime and Grimlock scale.
Prefer the latter myself, but I guess we shall see.
I just remembered there was a previous topic about this MP Soundwave & Blaster but at the time they had no official names. Anyway from the newest pictures, there seems to be more detail pretty much everywhere.Quote:

I avoided the third party MP Coneheads simply because there's a possibility they could be released as a retooled starscream mould.
An official G1 style masterpiece Soundwave feels very unlikely though. I mean, would Takara really make a masterpiece toy of an 80's tapedeck :p ?

im assuming they release it with all 4 cassettes as that would pretty much be a guaranteed sell.
I believe that somewhere in the thread on TFW2005 they state that it'll be coming with Laserbeak and that subsequent cassettes will be bundled into 3 packs and sold thereafter, regardless, this beauty is bought on sight; I have a very big thing when it comes to Soundwave stuff and being Official or not but this looks way too good to pass up, considering the very real likelihood that HasTakTom will never produce anything like this/these. ;):cool:

This is fantastic! I'm in! Shut up and take my money. I'm not worried if its official Soundwave or not. I really like sonicron (besides the weak joints that I've had to tighten up) and I am in love with THIS Soundwave. He will be a preorder ASAP.
Update adds a fair amount of detail, but the blockyness that is G1 Soundwave can't be avoided!
Tape deck alt mode is prob way too outdated to ever be official-takara-MP-worthy, but I'll prob wait this one out and get some feedback from the otca crew first before buying
Looking back through the pics of FansToys Acoustic Wave, anyone a bit suspect that the very first prototype might have been a stolen early prototype of the official MP Soundwave?

FansToys' second prototype changed so much (for what reason?) from the first, which looks much closer to the real MP Soundwave... you have to wonder!
It does beg the question, why would they bother doing anything if they had even the slightest idea that TakaraTomy would release one too!
