What about the base of Gamesworkshop figurines? Might be a bit small should be able to have both feet stand on it.
How big is the hole, and what shape?
I have these stands for vintage Star Wars that I think would work.
I purchased flightpose stands for my valks but found that they are pretty good for HA size+ TFs as well. Lots of posability.

-Vintage Star Wars figures have a 3mm peg hole in the foot/feet
-Human Alliance and vintage M.A.S.K figures share a 2mm peg hole in the foot/feet.

Errrm. Offhand, yeah I think you're right. (I don't have room for all my Star Wars stuff, so all I have displayed are my loose and MOC vintage figures)
I know they're a different peg-size, and I think modern is a smaller peg.
Anyway, hit me up if you want me to send you a few different types of stand (different modern and vintage ones), and see if anything's compatible.
EDIT: BTW, if you do decide to go ahead and order, I highly recommend The Earth. Absolutely stellar to deal with, every time.
