I bought Fortress Maximus back in 1987 when I was on a holiday to the USA and it was on sale for $100. I really don't think it's worth paying almost double (probably more than double when you include shipping! :eek:) for a toy mould that's 25 years old. You're better off going to Asia where you can buy the whole range of TF:Prime First Edition toys instead for that price.

Give Cerebros an autonomous altmode - something flight-capable would be good for transporting Spike.
If the battlestation is going to be a flight-capable ship, make that obvious. Turn the robot arms into a thruster bank. Split the conning tower to the sides and pull wings out of it, to further distinguish it from city mode. Merge the legs into a more comprehensive single bow. Give Gasket and Grommet weapons emplacement modes and somewhere to plug in. There are so many things which could be improved with just minor tweaks!

Really? I would've predicted $300, which is about how much Brave Maximus sold for. But that toy came out 12 years ago, in a higher production run (Takara reissues are always produced in smaller numbers - a large/expensive toy like this even moreso) and it didn't come w/ any accessories. Maybe Takara had lost the moulds for the weapons (which might explain the crappy quality of the God Sword) and had to recast them? :confused: <shrugs>
I predict Encore 24 shall be... Time Warrior! :p
