I'll take Powerdive, Swerve and Wheelie.
Its pretty awesome that they gave wheelie a sling shot.
I'll be doing my best to pick them all up. Is that everything that was announced? I feel like something is missing
all of them would not look out of place on my shelf......
Finally some figures to get excited about:)
Apart from the Legion/Legend guys they're all about as weird as I thought they'd be. Swerve, Wheelie and Cliffjumper could be cool.
So Powerdive was a helicopter originally, now it's... whatever the hell that plane is? strange, I'll wait untill I see it in person before I decide either way.
G2 Megs & Brawn look wrong. I may get them But I highly doubt it.
I'll pass on Cliffjumper & all of the legends, but Wheelie, Swerve & Hotspot are instant buys. The rest? Maybe.
That Jazz mold is sure getting around!
Whaaaa? Whatever that plane is??? Its the plane from the game 1942, the p-38 Lightning!!! Or based on it anyway. WWII baby.
Megatron looks rubbish, but the rest are passable, I'd be all over Hotspot and Wheelie. Maybe swerev and Brawn, depending on the heads.
The legends? No thanks.
Will we see these in oz, maybe toysale time, or will it be another order from RK?
Did I read that right? "Motorbreath"? HAHHAHAAAAAAAAAA
anyhoo, Hot Spot for sure and Brawn is growing on me. Cliffjumper looks weird.
Nice :)
C'mon Springer. I dont like that toy mold but it looks like a better version of Springer than the Universe 2.0 one. Great colour choices.
Swerve's a strong maybe. Same with Dead End, Bluestreak (Bluestreak!!), Thundercracker and I'd like a better look at Laserbeak.
PS. That's First Edition Cliffjumper (with a new head). Get it!
ill get motorbreath if he has a new head not just nemesis prime
already have thundercracker, want skywarp but not paying $50 for EZ-Warp
I'm interested in Powerdive, the rest are meh, sized wrong for my collection purposes, and/or I already have the characters.
I dont like the toy for Springer but im thinking with a simple head swap it might make a good classicverse Waspinator.
Why though is "Dead End" portrayed as black? hes meant to be a dark red would of been better as Wildrider IMO
Ooooh New Reveals!
I like the Powerdive and Springer so far...will depend on how they look with better photos though. I might change my opinion.
Most are rubbish repaints. Nothing tickles my sausage here.
From our checklist (bookmark it)...

Brawn (Prime FE Bulkhead redeco & new head)

Starscream (RotF redeco)
Ironhide (DotM redeco)
Everything except the Leaders were shown in the first post.
But it should have been called Ransack... as that was the WW2 plane from Gen2. Powerdive was the helicopter. They missed the mark on that homage. :(
They are "supposed to be" Asian Hasbro exclusives, meaning HK and any country they supply. Hasbro HK have been getting more independent of Hasbro America in terms of generating "exclusives"... not since Hasbro UK at the end of Gen1 did we see a branch of Hasbro creating so many figures just for their market.
Fingers crossed that they are released here (like the four Generations Deluxe toys), but nothing has been mentioned anywhere, and I think retailers are still hurting from TF3 toys, so may just stick with the smaller quantity TFPrime series for now.
The voyagers are a little weird but the deluxes are very interesting. Meh on the legends.
ALL BOUGHT ON SIGHT. WOOHOOO OW MY WALLET IS HURTINGG AHARHHGHAF
There all a bit meh to me, nothing that really excites, other than a second chance to get the Highbrow mould.
Springer, Laserbeak, Cliffjumper and Starscream (not shown) will be mine. Mine I tell you.
I like Swerve, Wheelie, Hotspot and probably Motorbreath. Brawn looks a bit odd; and I REALLY want to like Springer, but like Loophole, I can't stand that mold.
Man, there's some great stuff there but some REALLY WEIRD SH-T TOO. What is up with the fat Brawn and shogun Megatron???
Damned if I'll be buying Hotspot when there will no doubt be an actual combining version on the market sometime in the next couple of years...
I like the paint schemes and who these are representing but at the end of the day this is the height of laziness. Let's stick a new head on something and give it pretty colours WOOHOO! I'll admit if the oppurtunity arises I will most probably get some of these but would have thought some of these really deserved a completely new mold.
These are limited market exclusives. Not much different to the BotCon toys. Like BotCon why would they make new toys for a limited run when they can just repaint old toys. The fact that they are nearly all getting new heads and new weapons shows it not as lazy as the old Universe line. Some like Swerve, were probably always planned.
Maybe some of these characters will get new toys in 2013's Generations line (but so far those are all WFC/FOC toys). For people who don't like TFPrime this gives them something to look at buying.
A bit ironic how G2 Megatron is using Bludgeon's mold. Hold the head sculpt turns out proportionately better than Gigatron.
Also, Hasbro has been dodging this for a long time, but Springer really does need an original mold for himself.
I like the deluxes. The voyagers are a bit hit and miss. I really can't make up my mind on Brawn.
Good way to release FE Cliffjumper and Bulkhead moulds though.
Hasbro HK seems to be doing what TakaraTomy used to be praised for - accommodating the demands of more dedicated/selective collectors, who don't have as much interest in the mainstream lines as the general public do. They've seen the greater interest for the new (small) Generations line that homages Gen1 characters, over the larger Prime and Movie lines that are aimed more at kids/parents and fans of the movies/TV show.
Since they aren't just straight redecos, the added parts are about as much as they could afford on such a limited run... and are better than Hasbro US just changing colours and nothing else.
(at a glance though to me, this set looks more like a set of Custom figures, with the way some are shoe-horned into an alt-mode/robot-mode that isn't originally designed for them - I'll still buy them though :o )
Well damn, I kind of want Springer now.
I was hoping Megatron would be coloured like this. That could have been pretty nice.
I'd be likely getting most of these. If indeed they are not sold in Oz, what would be the best online retailer to get them from, by the case?
Big Bad Toy Store (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/) had some pretty fair prices for the recent Generations Fall of Cybertron Wave 1 figs. Jazz/OP/Shockwave were up for pre-order for $48USD before postage ($16USD ea).
I found postage to be about the same as other online stores, but you've got the added option of Pile of Loot (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/c...aspx?content=4) if you're not too much of a hurry.
Will this mean then that Hasbro will not produce anymore of these characters for mainstream "generations" line... I hope not, I 'm still hoping for a triple changer Springer... someday....:o
RobotKingdom is based out of HK and source a lot of their product from Hasbro HK. They'd likely get cheaper prices since they don't need to import to the US and then post back to Aus like BBTS would. They might however put a markup on these because of their exclusivity.
