TW-T02: 3rd Party G1 Throttlebot - Searchlight
-
I love those mini range rovers. I'd so have one if I had the cash.
-
Wow  Very impressive! Really thought the other Throttlebots were going to be straight retools of Rollbar/Grind Rod somehow, but this is amazing! :o:o
-
Looking good, Toyworld may well got from Zero to Hero if their quality holds.
I hope they don't change the colours on this one.
-
These look surprisingly nice. :)
-
Yeah I think I will be getting all of them :D Just hope I can afford that.
-
These guys looks delicious. But they're very far down my list in terms of characters I need in my Classics line up. Aerialbots, Predacons, Stunticons, possibly Dinobots, and these guys want me to pony up $360 for Throttlebots...? Bad timing.

I agree, the price and timing does unfortunately forces these awesome little guys to be foreshadowed by the other releases.
Really wishing for a later box set release with all 6 figs, which will help some in terms of shipping. Otherwise it can be uber costly waiting for intermittent future releases. It was OK with FP Insecticons, but there are a whole 4 other guys to wait for here! Unless these guys combine :p:o
-
Yeah I'm very much liking these, Toyworld have wonderfully executed these guys in a modern form IMO.:cool:
-
Just found out that Chimungmung has Aurora ready to ship by Wednesday 16th Jan.
Bought. Couldn't wait to POL this on BBTS or wait until Hardbone gets released to ship together :o:o
They've also got the first two not-Throttlebots for a good price if anybody else is interested (http://chimungmung.com/product_info.php?products_id=973) :)
-
Anyone notice that these apparently combine to form a gestalt?
-
yep, there are some pics on bbts showing them in leg mode. not overly convincing
-
Gestalt mode is a bit of a bonus, but these guys make solid deluxes (approx. the height of Classics Bumblebee) - sturdy transformation and tough as nuts ball joints.

That's what the stores are saying, but I want to hear it from Toyworld themselves, and so far they've kept mum on the subject.

Agreed. The Grindrod box and instructions says absolutely nothing on the subject and when you study the mold, anything 'combiner' about it appears to be circumstantial.

He looks really good in-hand, thanks for sharing. Where did you get yours from?
I pre-ordered from Chimungmung and am still waiting their confirmation email.
-
Beautiful pics, I'm very tempted. Has there been any confirmation as to whether these guys combine, or am I behind on the rumors?

There is nothing about combining in the box or instructions just like Grind Rod. As far as I am concerned, those are just fan modes that got a bit out of hand.
Aurora is even more unlikely to combine than Grind Rod. Unlike Grind Rod's spare wheel peg that can be 'interpreted' as a combiner port, Aurora has nothing suggesting this.
-
Cheers for the info. You would THINK that they would heavily advertise the combination as a feature so I'm inclined to agree with what you said.

Considering BBTS say its going to be a combiner in their product description, you'd think Toyworld would come out and say that it ISN'T a combiner. Personally I don't care anymore as I've lost interest in these.
