Looks like Beast Machines all over again.
Allegedly it is "Predaking" of the "Predacons" Faction (the new third allegiance symbol).
Tomorrow we should find out more at the Hasbro presentation (this is just the Preview function hosted by Hasbro the night before NYCC starts).
Wow, Now as long as the new beast wont replace other bots....You know real ones that turn into cars and jets :p I do think that it does look like it could be a funky figure. Also looks like it may have chrome. If so lets hope Hasbro has worked out how to do it better. Dont want more chrome rot like what happened to some BW figures.
It's gotta be good if it causes this sort of reaction ;)
I think it'd be cool to have beast bots return and run alongside vehicular bots. I see no need to have one at the exclusion of the other anymore. :)
That Leader Class Dragon-former figure, being named Predaking who leads a new band of Predacons (Along with a New Faction Symbol) - Looks friggin' AWESOME!!!:D:cool:
Apparently there'll be a sizeable number of new Predacon figures, sadly at the cost of only a handful of "Star Seekers" being issued :( (Hasbro sighting that there isn't much push for them in the toyline seeing as though they're derived purely from the Exodus & Exiles novels ) but Predaking at least is also apparently going to be available at multiple size/price points. :)
Really glad to see that Beasts will make a prominent return to the toyline, what I'm really curious to see now is whether they'll go with "Mythical" Beasts, "Living/Lived" Beasts or a mixture of the two? ;)
Oh, also David Kaye is the only suitable V/O Actor for the role of Predaking in the 3rd Season of Transformers: Prime "Beast Hunters". :D:cool:
Robot Dragons? YES PLEASE.
well, now i'll hate everything if Prime Predaking ISN'T voiced by David Kaye.
just gives us some combiners
Updated Terrorcons could be sweet...
What are the wings made of?
Ooh, mythological creatures would be GREAT! Especially with the Hobbit trilogy coming out for the next 3 years, it may peak children's interest in fantasy creatures -- might be a good time for Hasbro to seize the opportunity and give us fantasy creature alt modes! :D
Hmm, I do likes me a good dragon mode. Lets hope that robot mode doesn't look like a dragon's ass;) Or an ass at all, coz he is a dragon...:p
Mixed feelings about these figures. The dragon looks very cool but by using Predakings name means there will be no combiner Predaking in the new aligned continuity. Frowny face
The teaser trailer they were showing in the background has been posted up by Hasbro here.
Nothing too revealing though. The blurred bits of Predaking look more like Transmetal 2 Dinobot.

That looks... awful, just awful.
It looks like a Lego kit, and that's being very unkind to Lego.
The only thing I can say is that I'll wait for the 'robot' mode to be displayed. I'm assuming it has one, but as the link address identifies it as 'BEAST_MODE' I can safely assume.
Just awful.
It's as if they took RID Bruticus and Cybertron Scourge and smooshed them together.
I'm extremely looking forward to all of the "Beast" figures from the "Beast Hunters" line:
- Twinstrike - Easily a G1 Sinnertwin homage, a pretty cool looking little Legion figure. :)
- Lazerback - I'm really intrigued by this Deluxe, a merger of RiD (Basic) Bruticus & G1 (Firecon) Flamefeather; He looks to be quite a brute of a figure.
- Predaking - This guy is going to be available at all sizes but Legion, though it's the Leader Class figure that is going to be the shiner IMO, I cannot wait to get my hands on this giant embodiment of Mythological Awesome! :D
Soundwave has me intrigued, I think I'm going to have to see him in an "In-Hand" fashion to make my final thoughts but I'm loving the "Road-Kill" Ravage squashed on his chest! :D:p
I'm actually quite impressed with Wheeljacks retooling too, as a Carmageddon fan it speaks to me on a "Cunning Stunt" level and he is far superiorly executed compared to that of the zillionth iteration of Bumblebee (He head re-sculpt looks okay though). ;)
But... As mentioned in the other thread, Australians are likely never to see any of these figures hit local stores; Maybe they might show up in Independent toy stores 9 months after everywhere else in the world but I'm not holding out hope. :(
TFW2005 has a slideshow up.
There are a few in there I like.
Hmm.. anybody else getting a Malware alert from TFW2005?
It was mentioned on another board.
Apparently there are links to sites within the boards that host malware and it is not TFW2005 itself that hosts it. So I guess it might not be a real issue, just a spam-bot that's been hidden from public view.
They all look horrible. That's actually good for me so i can concentrate my money on other figures i'm after. :)
Twinstrike looks sorta ok. I hope he doesn't have a lame looking face though.
I really like the idea of monster Transformers, but not sure Hasbro can pull them of still without going all Beast Machines.
