I actually might get this if it goes slightly cheaper. It also looks like takara are settling down with the MP prices, even if it does subtract from quality. But this looks boss.
Yup. This definitely has my seal of approval. :)
Looks great!
But I still have no desire to own it.
Paid for this in July. Please hurry up and arrive at my door Mr Soundwave
Niiiice, looks like he comes with Megatron in gun mode aaaannnnddd that crazy sensor thing that his hand changes into in um, 1 episode?
Brilliant! I love the way Laserbeak/Condor can stand up a little bit. I think I am just as excited for the cassettetrons as much as Soundwave!!
Apparently it says he can store 3 cassettes at a time. Either that or I'm reading my Jap wrong. It could also mean that it means the 3 different cassetticon molds that work with him.
Anyway, looks awesome and I might get this sometime in the future.
He will be my 24th or 25th masterpiece, (if i get red alert before him)
Fantastic isn't it :)
Looking good.
By the looks of his shrinking chest, it's not just a straight copy of the original transformation wise too.
Wish my work computer could read japanese font, but google translate to the rescue.
andQuote:
ntroduced a surprise gimmick that can accommodate (including optional) three largest cassette!
So look like he can.Quote:
g capable of holding a cassette eject button Ron (including those scheduled to be released in the future) a maximum of three species!
:D
Howdy frikking doody that so awesome
I have the weird feeling that because I said that, it means that there are 3 different molds that can fit in him.
Well there are 3 different mould that can fit in him.
Man (Frenzy/rumble), Bird (Buzzsaw/Laserbeak) and jaguar (Ravage).
I guess since they stated 3 species, no Ratbat then...
Aaaaw
New pics of MP Soundwave in-hand. The whiny little fan boys over on the international forums are in fine form accusing this guy of 'show-boating'
Wish there was more pics, size comparison pohotos etc. Oh well, I getting him anyways hehe.
What a lucky boy. There is too many wants I have right now.
I'm glad I didn't decide to cancel my order. Can't really afford it, but I want him anyway :p
So will he be the size that the cassettes are the size of normal cassettes, or will they still be mini-cassette sized?
Must have the precious... :D
For anyone getting the JP Amazon version (with the Energon Cube), it seems that TakaraTomy have listened to fans commenting on it looking wrong without it being pinkish or energon coloured... so have uploaded something people can print out, fold up, and insert into the cube.
I wonder if the Asian edition will come with the Amazon exclusive cube, like how they included the exclusive jackhammers with Sideswipe.
Doesn't Soundwave produce clear/empty energon cubes?
Still, it would look nice if you wanted something like that.
Wonder if they'll include something like this with the Hasbro release...;):p
Considering that Hasbro's version will be $200 cheaper than TakTOM's at full RRP (and still $45 cheaper than preorder discount prices), I think we can quite easily forgive Hasbro for not including superfluous bonus content like Energon cubes etc. :)
Version 2 coin may be available now?!!
Newer coin has more of a gold colour unless its due to lighting.

Oppose to the original coin being silver.

From this listing it says:
Transformers MP 13 Soundwave Re-Issue with New Exclusive Coin [Gold Head]

So looks to be the re-issue coin is different being gold instead of silver.
Meh... I'm perfectly happy with the original, I suppose this is a way of differentiating between releases for those more anally-retentive collectors. ;)
Cheers for bringing it to our attention however, Kazza.
