More New York Toy fair Pics

Trailcutter!...finally!
The others are rather blaaaaah!
-
trailcutter looks awesome
-
Trailcutter looks cool and I like the look of the new Bumblebee. Orion Pax is the only one I'm questioning from this lot.
As Bidoofdude pointed out elsewhere, a Thundercracker repaint of FOC Starscream is basically guaranteed since the stars of all the current Metroplex-related IDW spotlights are in this line up.

LOL< I really like the look of Orion Pax. Bumblebee, not so sure about yet.
Is that Megatron based on any particular comic?
-
I like them all enough to get. However I need a better pic of Orion Pax to have a proper opinion and something seems a little odd to me when it comes to Blitzwing. He seems really cartoony.

He's looked like that in IDW comics since their Ongoing issue #13
-
Will we see an aftermarket kit for Trailbreaker that puts guns on his legs like Brainstorm did for him in MTMTE?
Jokes aside this is probably through first time I've looked forward to Hasbro releases ever. Blitzwing, Metroplex, Trailblazer, Springer, Orion Pax and Voyager Shockwave will ordered once they come up.
The almost action master throwback legends classes look intriguing as well.

IDW Spotlight Megatron. ;)
-
I have high hopes for that Megatron and Springer actually looks really good. Blitzwing is a maybe.
-
Is Trailcutter a new mould?
-
They looks nuts!!! Here I was thinking my wallet was going to have an easy year!!! Metroplex, Trailcutter, Springer & Blitzwing are a definate! We'll see about the rest:)
-
Wow! I'm so stoked that they're modelling a lot of these toys on IDW models!
Stealth Bomber Megatron and Orion Pax look great, and finally for the first time since 2007, a Bumblebee toy that I can look forward to! ;)
Well done Hasbro, well done!

Here's a stock image of Orion Pax.

I'm not too keen on the IDW line of figures. One that I am considering is the pax. Only to mod it into an Ironhide.

he has a nod to animated blitzwing with the multiple faces
-
I like the new generations molds. Springer will be expensive here but may be worth it, Stealth megatron is probably the best megatron mold ive seen in years.
Dragons aren't that impressive.
metroplex, would be better if he turned into something complex, dropped the ball on that one.
-
-
I wonder why they made Ratchet look like Beast Wars Dinobot (a blend of his pre and post Transmetal forms).
-
-
Great looking toys there, I'm glad IDW and Hasbro have finally gotten on board with one another!
Trailcutter would make a nice Ironhide/Hoist as well, maybe even Skids.
Megatron is beastly, and I wonder if this means we'll be getting him rebuilt into the same body in RiD? Bumblebee is a nice twist on his Prime?Movie designs, probably skip him as he is overly done. (so we'll get 3 of him in a case of 4?)
Pax is interesting, the design looks nice, the placement of the blue on the hood, is different. Looks nothing much like he did in his spotlight.
As for the Beast Hunter toys, all easy skips, as they wont be those colours in their non photoshopped versions. Ratchet is weirdly intriguing with his Dinobot throwbacks. This mean he is going to go commando in a episode and kick the bucket?
-
Is it just me or dos Orion Pax look more Optimus Prime than the Optimus Prime:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Hmm, That's a Ratchet variant I would buy in a SNAP!
-
I wish Megatron had been a Voyager toy though. They made him midgety again.
-
The Spotlight Megatron toy, FTW! :)
I'm also liking Beast Hunters Shockwave. :)
-
The front part of Shockwave's alt-mode keeps reminding me of the Megatron's diagnostic drone from Beast Machines.
-
Actually liking the new Generations toys, the IDW ones in particular even though once again it's a case of Hasbro just wheeling out more Optimus'es, Bumblbee's and Megatron's.
Just to be different not sold on Trailbreaker, after all this time we finally get a deluxe toy yet it just doesn't excite me that much. Will probably get him anyway though. or wait for a fancy pants United version.
-
They all look good, will be on the must haves list:D;)
-
Anyone notice on the Metroplex box art, looks like Skids (Trailbreaker repaint, boo!:() and Sandstorm (new mold? :)) are lurking around.

It's the body Orion Pax had after he finished being a police officer and started serving in the Autobot army under the command of Zeta Prime. We first saw him in this body in Spotlight: Blurr and the origin was explained in Spotlight: Orion Pax (which reconciles the visual continuity discrepancy with the body he uses in other pre-dating flashbacks). But that body does look very Optimus-esque (when I first saw it in Spotlight: Blurr it reminded me of MW Optimus Prime). But in IDW continuity, the difference between Optimus Prime and Orion Pax is more ideological than physical -- i.e. after the Chaos Saga Optimus Prime surrendered the Matrix and his title/identity as Optimus Prime, and reclaimed his original identity as Orion Pax and left Cybertron under self-imposed exile.
-
Trailbreaker/cutter - yes, Megatron... hmmm mebbe, Orion Pax - mebbe, Bumblebee - nope. BH Shockwave - yes, the rest - meh....
Erm who is that first blue decepticon beastly figure though, it's got no name?
Ill take that too.
Shame Megs is a midget. So will these new generations then be as Small aas the FOC figures we are getting? Poor Trailbreaker... at the trailend of the list of figure we want and still he gets gipped (this time in height;(). Ah well at least we finally get one... and porlly a variant recolor for Hoist or Skids
-
Sky Shadow will be happy to hear that another Lugnut toy is being released... even if it is a butt-ugly Kreon. :p
-
And apparently there was a tease by a Hasbro Rep, saying that there will be Voyager Beast Wars toy in next year's Generations.
Perhaps that Rhinox toy they mentioned a couple years back?
-
A press release from Hasbro has listed the amount of toys in this year's Beast Hunters line...
16 Deluxe (we know 11 so far)
6 Voyager (we know 5 already)
11 Legion (we know 7 so far, and expect 3 more to be the remaining Combiner Predacons)
9 Cmdr (we know 7 already)
3 Vehicle sets (we know 2)
Makes it easier to know when the line ends, when we reach that quota.

I'll probably wind up getting everything Generations shown except for Bumblebee :)
-
Trailbreaker - yeah!
Blitzwing - double yeah! I actually don't mind the way he looks
Springer - son of a... I just ordered a deluxe version to try make into a triple changer
IDW Megatron - son of a again, I just made a custom of it!
The other deluxes shown I'm a bit meh about.
-
Personally i prefer the G1 head you can switch too on blitzwing, but the dinobot looking head is quite cool. Wonder what face I'll end up using when i get him :D

Press releases from Hasbro have listed prices and some release dates.
Plus gives us some extra items, that weren't on seen on display or mentioned at the presentation.
Generations Legends 2-packs will have Megatron and Starscream (with Targetmaster partners), after the Optimus and Bumblebee wave. Also, Hasbro are calling these "Legends", but still calls the Prime/Beast Hunters ones as "Legion".
Rescue Bots 2-packs will include two new human characters from the cartoon - Doc Greene (their friend) and Doc Morocco (their main foe).
Also with Rescue Bots - the release of a "Skylanders" type game unit to plug into the TV, and then you plug in one of several figurines to play as them in the game. The main unit comes with Optimus, and five other figurines to be sold separately.
Construct-Bots - another 2-pack listed, containing Optimus Vs Predaking. The other 2-pack was Optimus Vs Megatron, which I misinterpreted as being two separate releases.
And there may only be 8 Scout sets, not 10 (which was noted in the original news article).
BotShots - said to be 19 singles in this series.
I will add these details to the Wrap-Up topic, and checklist.
-
I think the distinction between Legend and Legion is a price point thing. The FOC "Tapes" 2 packs introduced a different point right, and these two-packs carry it on? I was wondering if the main bot (or the "Targetmaster") will have an Activator-style auto-transformation?
-
I am stoked about the whole generations line up, especially that Megatron. I had been thinking of picking up a Macross Nightmare to kitbash into a figurine of Megs but this deluxe looks fantastic.
Trailcutter too, about time!
Impressive itteration of Blitzwing, definitely a buy. I'll need some time to mull over Springer but I imagine I'll get him too; looks pretty sweet. Kinda wish I hadn't gotten myself a Warbot Defender at the end of last year... looks like I'll be selling that guy.
I jut wish the Cyberverse IDW Bumblebee was deluxe size.
