From here to Alternity.
Seibertron is actually referring to that repainted Hot Rod as "Wild Rider"...
Something tells me the folks who forked out for Botcon Evil Hot Rod will be "Not Happy, Jan!"
whats an alternity? sorry to be blunt but i may have heard of it
Alternity looks like a cross between BINALTECH and the movie line. A new Japanese line at 1/32 scale with diecast shells (apparently). Prototype pics here.
Yep, the other one is supposidly a Chara Hobby 2008 exclusive Henkei Stuntron Wild Rider which costs 3000 Yen. If they lost the red face I would be more interested.
I wish they ditched the flames. A different face or masked face would also go a long way but aye... repaints, what can you do?
I guess if it is meant to resemble Stunticon Wildrider, it needs the red face. Not sure why takaratomy are doing a black Hot Rod though, as it steps on the toes of the Hasbro exclusives. The seeker jets I can understand because they are such major characters, but this is like someone at takaratomy like the BC black Rodimus and wanted to release it in Japan as well, using a different name.
The Alternity concept is new to me, and not sure what it ties in with, if anything.
Will this Henkei Black Rodimus be easy to get? I want one. Or two. :D Classics Wildrider all the way for me. Remove the tail finds and replace the stickers on the hood and you've got Wildrider.
Geez this is the 2nd punch in the face for the funpub people, I dont think this will cause the same kind of stink as Henkei Thundercracker, since the Henkei Wildrider is somewhat different to Shattered Glass Rodimus, but still it's pretty damn close.
It's too bad this repainted Hot Rod doesn't have a well-sculpted goatee...:)
It's clearly Wildrider, so I don't think it should ruffle FunPub feathers.
I like the Hot Rod. Just hope that it is easy to get. Any release dates mentioned?
Just to confirm, that black Henkei Rodimus is Wildrider... although that image calls it "Destron Wildrider" (Decepticon Wildrider)... perhaps TakaraTOMY have lost the rights to the name Wildrider?
It's unusual for TakaraTOMY. This is probably only the second time I recall TakaraTOMY reusing a G1 name that they appear to have lost the rights for - the previous case I remember being the Perceptor reissue which they called "Cybertron Perceptor" (Autobot Perceptor).
It's Wildrider. He has a red face. It's not Goatee Rodimus. I don't see any problem other than how the *#@# I'm going to get one.
Yeah he looks like Wildrider to me, i much prefer it to Evil Rodimus or ugh Mena-sour!
I like everything I've seen so far about both these toys, except the price tag :(
Actually that looks very much intentionally done. The flames are a kind of bluish grey as opposed to the gold flames on Rodimus. Whether you like them or not is a matter of personal opinion. I think it looks kinda cool because it goes inline with Wildrider's reckless nature. :)Quote:

You could try emailing F2F and see if he can help you out. If you try to order more than one he may purge you if it is really hard to get. Otherwise maybe email Overdrive and see if they can help out, they were they guys that helped us with the Henki seeker exclusives.
Just received a bunch of preorders. No pics though.

VERY interested in the Alternity Primes and Thundercracker if you are going to do a group buy for them :D
Yeah I only have 2 days to respond and there's no description to help.Quote:
With the exception of MP-2 there's only 2 days to place an order!
I think I'm going to get 1 box each of the GTRs and if there's 2 more people interested in Thundercracker then I'll place an order for that as well.
Yep:
BT-21 group order for Sydney
Melbourne did it as well.
I can live with the blue flames on wildrider but I think a new head sculpt would of been better for the character. If this does well they'll more than likely repaint mirage in to drag strip and sideswipe into breakdown.
Retooling is cost-prohibitive for such limited runs. OTFCC exclusives are retooled but they're also made in substantially larger production runs compared to other exclusives.
I don't mind them being not retooled if they're limited exclusives, but if they're going to do them as standard releases then I would prefer them to have new heads. They could get away with doing a straight repaint of Sunstreaker as Dead End (re: Binaltech). ;pQuote:

Again, modifying the mould costs money. It's usually not worth it when making very small limited production runs. With the exception of OTFCC all limited exclusive toys are unmodified repaints anyway, e.g.: BotCon USA (pre-OTFCC), BotCon Japan, BotCon UK, JafCon, Wonder Fes, e-Hobby, TV Magazine, Terebi-kun, Dengeki Hobby, SDCC et al.
