A thing of pure awesome, I cant wait to get this figure. :D
when was the last time a Hasbro toy had metallic vacuumized paint ? :D
Backpack Supreme should be its name. Bit dull.
Looks nice. Only thing I don't like is the lack of red on the ankles and the chest cockpit being clear, rather than a light blue, though the pictures all look a bit dulled themselves, even the background.
That's come out great since protos. Like it and hope it gets local release ;)
Just looks bland, and I would prefer more red. Don't like the red chrome on the weapons, the bling makes him look cheap. Would of preferred just red with some black. Well while I'm complaining Im going to pick it up anyway , hopefully we can get some interesting repaints, as there are probably heaps of potential candidates.
Fingers crossed the next leader class figure is awesome :D
can't wait till he's up for pre order!
i am so pumped for this guy.
I like it. If I ever see it on a shelf I'm more likely to buy this than I ever was with Metroplex.
Noob question, when is his release date? Q3 or something?
I think that alt mode is the best part. It's just looks so badass and such a cool modern interpretation of the original jet. And nicely sidesteps any infringement problems in the process
I think this looks great, a good toon homage
Must have
meh... looks ok. def dont like the pointy nose cone
I'm with some people here in that it looks rather bland (just look at his all-white legs), the nose cone doesn't sit well with me, and the vacuumized paint on the weapons is unnecessary IMO. It simply doesn't offer anything over the Voyager aside from scale. Unfortunate pass for me :( (if you could call it 'unfortunate' considering I have the voyager which is one of the best Generations toys ever :D )
where from and how much are we looking at?
Am i completely blown away by this figure? No. Will i still buy him? Yeah
I've gotta agree he looks a little plain, but there's something compelling about him.
Not sure yet if I'll get him yet though.
I'll definitely buy it if it comes out locally. But it doesn't compel me enough to want to import it.
Preorder now up at RK. $60 USD before shipping may be a little steep for me though:

Not for me, let down with face and overall. I will wait for a masterpiece of this guy.
I'm quite happy with the Voyager. Stick with what I got.
I don't like the jet mode enough to get it myself, it's too wannabee Valkyrie and not enough Jetfire.
totally gonna wait for the Takara version. Will be 100X better (hopes)
Maybe it's all the third party purchases in the past year, but $60 for a Leader Class doesn't seem over the top?
I guess I revisited that thought once reviews are out, and depending on how intricate/intuitive his transformation is - my main yardstick for a mould's value. The initial pics does make him look hollow-er (see inside thigh). Overall aesthetics and proportions does school the current third party offerings.
At the current exchange rate, AU$60 works out to roughly 30GBP. Given that I used to easily hand over 40GBP for a leader when living in the UK, that actually works out as a price reduction for me!
Lol yep :)
Who volunteers to go back in time and hand Takara a MP-12 and MP-17 and say 'make it'? And if Takara took the new MPs as inspiration i wonder if they still would have enlarged them and added rubber tyres? Or would they like the 'smaller, cheaper' idea enough to just sell them for $30.
I actually like plastic tyres. I am so scared off from rubber tyres because of CR/RID that I prefer the plastic tyres that will last for decades.
