really nice! I was hoping he would have individual finger articulation but i guess that's gone way wards unless it's a larger figure? (Metroplex did).

I think I do not watch the cartoon enough to bother me about the colours. I always thought these were quite accurate for me.

So glad I pre-ordered.. Daddy is waiting for his Christmas present! So intrigued to see how the cab breaks down. Also will be interesting to see how the humans fit in as the windows are different to MP-10

I'm going to hazard a guess and say that, based on previous MPs, the Hasbro version may have toy-accurate light blue.

As awesome as he is, I didn't think he would be THAT big?! Magnus would be even taller than Grimlock and Scoria? :(

All I am saying is that there better be SOME die cast on this guy or many of us will be very upset. That and the tires better be rubber. They look like plastic.
Suffice to say, as awesome as he is, he looks to much like a toy then a MP collectable.

While I have no interest in getting MP Ultra Magnus, I'm happy about his relative size to MP-10 since based on the Tokyo Toy Show pics, MP Star Saber seems to be slightly larger than Ultra Magnus.

So do we know if the cab transforms into Magnus without armour? Or is it just his armoured version that we would be getting?

The cab's lines don't match mp-10 so highly unlucky the cab will be a white mp-10.

Hmm and I thought Citizen Stack looked bland! Hate the red bumper too, not that ill ever have him in vehicle form anyways, but still. Like the overall look more than CS I think, but yeah hes definitely gonna need some reprolabels!
Comparison if hes the roughly the same height as CS (im assuming he will be shorter though):

Magnus feet is too simplistic. That's my only small quibble.

his gun looks a bit plain and needs a bit more detail
but overall still looks pretty good.

It's the same as the G1 toy. It's impossible to make a Masterpiece Ultra Magnus with the ability to carry four MP scale cars and still have it be a close approximation to Optimus Prime in robot mode.

My issue isn't with prime. It's with the dinobots. I understand that MP8 was before the "new scaling". I'm just disappointed that he's "that" much taller than grimlock, even with FT's "shoes". It wasn't an expectation. Just would have been nice.

Like said, if you are those who need to have scaled equivalent. The way I am reading the threads is like some are saying he is too big etc....
I only looking at opinions not judging anything. The figure looks fine for me.

I feel like if you combined a few aspects of each design you'd really have the ultimate Magnus.
KFC did a very good job (of their design at least) - mostly with the proportions, but lost it a bit in terms of pure G1 accuracy and definitely the face sculpt. I think if they had the same structure and transform, but used true G1 look instead of the CHUG aesthetic, it'd be pretty much perfect. Knowing that Takara would go pure G1 is probably exactly the reason they went with the approach they did though.
I really like how they handled his legs the most - the MP by comparison looks too City Commander-ish - like he's standing on platforms instead of having actual feet.
I do think the MP will be nicer in person than the pics let on though - like how MP10 Prime looked a bit gorilla-arms in his photos before release, but really doesn't look like that once you have him in hand.
