From Dengeki Hobby. Energon Ironhide (Superlink Roadbuster) and... BWII Cyborg Beast Skywarp?
Cloud Roadbuster is a neat homage to Energon Ironhide (aka Super Link Roadbuster); so I can see what they did there. Hellwarp feels like more a stretch though -- yeah, I get the Beast Wars Starscream ---> Hellscream ---> retooled Cybershark ---> TM2 Cybershark ---> Gelshark ---> Sky Byte (RiD---> Generations) ---> Starscream ---> G1 Seekers ---> Skywarp ---> Hellwarp... but far out... talk about degrees of separation!
Well thats another Cloud wave I couldn't care less about.:(
I'm not overly impressed with that roadbuster but I don't mind the colour scheme on hellwarp. Once I have sky byte in hand I'll make up my mind whether the mould worth getting a second time
Roadbuster looks like one of those random-coloured generic background bots you see in the original series comic or cartoon. And that's probably why it intrigues me so much.
Skywarp is a favourite character of mine, so I'm still undecided on him being a mutant shark.
I would get the Cloud set of eight if they weren't so darn expensive, even by TakaraTomy price standards. :(
Optimus was boring, but the other seven either look really nice, or creative enough to get, just for fascination.
Novel ideas, if these were normally priced repaints I'd consider them, but total pass on Cloud prices.
How does one actually go about getting these? I really like the look of Rodimus and Shockwave (which I'm going to keep insisting is in homage to the Transformers 2007 game Shockwave) but am unsure if/when they're out and how to get them

Have a look at the other stores too
Looking at Cloud Roadbuster/Ironhide as a repaint of G1 Roadbuster, you can forget for a moment how annoying that character was in the cartoon.
I knew Roadbuster was destined for an Ironhide repaint but I was expecting FOC Ironhide.
Can't skip these fast enough. These repaints have nothing drawing me in to their exclusive-level prices. Would probably skip them too at regular RRP. The voice of Energon Ironhide and Carlos is probably my most hated voice actor - oh why did they have to keep giving him work by bringing him back for a second season?!
The only one that interested me was Megatron. The others are all massively easy passes.
If I find a cheap, second-hand Hellwarp at some point I'll probably get it.
Otherwise meh.
The whole cloud line has been underwhelming
The only ones that I am slightly interested in is Roadbuster and Hellwarp, but not at the current price. I usually like random repaints and obscure characters but this is line just isn't doing it for me.
Between the disappointment of Hasbro's 30 of 30, and TakaraTomy's Cloud series, the 30th Anniversary certainly has had a few letdowns. Almost as bad as the 25th... which had limited attention due to prioritising another one of Bay's TFs movies that year as well.
I like some of these repaints, but not enough to drop 100 bones on a figure that's worth less than half of that
Rodimus as a triple changer has no appeal to me. Megatron as a tank is something that does, as it's reminiscent of G2 Megatron. I didn't get the initial version of this toy; I actually found it at a TRU in China last year, but I didn't like the colours (as G2 accurate as they may be :p), but I like the G1 colours on Cloud Megatron. While Springer repainted as Rodimus looks nice enough as a robot, the concept of the toy itself doesn't appeal to me.
Official images of the Roadbuster toy (Ironhide from Energon was called Roadbuster in Japan).
Roadbuster and Hellwarp are the last two in the set of eight Cloud toys, and are not scheduled for release until next March.
These are still some time away from release (out in March), but have now been produced at the Factory, as the usual source of leaks from one of the factories has put on ebay a loose Hellwarp (the purple/black redeco of GEN VOY SkyByte).
Some robot mode pics are mirrored here.
As expected, Hellwarp's paired figure Roadbuster is also at the factory... and therefore on ebay. Just a single picture of robot mode for now at that mirrored location but more images can be seen on the auction for a short time here, and when these arrive in the hands of fans in a week, more photos are likely to show up.
Looks like some of lena81822's listings comes in packaging now - we can cross off the theory that he/she is building complete figures from QC rejects. lena81222 must have an entire production line within his/her crime syndicate.
