Not too keen on being spammed by a non-member, but it appears legit.
Anyone here ever used this site before?
A lot of conditions though, so it might be best not to risk losing the 15% just for an extra 2% - Details here.

Another newbie poster here :) though long time reader.
I can vouch for the site I used it during the last eBay 15% promotion to buy some items. Ended up buying the items at 15% off and a few days later received an email from cash rewards acknowledging a further 2% in cashback.
I guess I give it a try but will they give you immediate discount when you checkout and not a later claim back thingy?
Is there a minimum amount before you can cash out?
I will see how as rewards Central is also collecting points from ebay purchases.
minimum amount is only $5, with cashrewards theres also hundreds of other stores you can get cashback from as well eBAY
hey guys yeah just to chime in ive used cashrewards when i bought my macbook from apple it took a few weeks as i dont think the reward is paid until the return period elapses but yes it is legit
It is a cashback program where you get 2.5% of the value (excluding postage) back. It usually takes a few weeks before you can get it back but worthwhile if you purchase from ebay.

For the cash reward program, could I apply for the cash back after I made the transactions in eBay?
Nope, you need to do it at the time of the transaction. :(
I ended up getting UW superion and menasor for $162 and $141 shipped.
Has anyone used cashrewards.com.au ?
I've used it 3 times now and I cant seem to get it right :o:p
I open a browser with the only page on cashrewards. I do a search on the site to find ebay,
I enter the ebay.com.au site via the cashrewards link,
I click on the 'paid now' option on ebay,
It sends me to the paypal page and complete payment
and yet it never shows a dollar amount anywhere on cash rewards, even though I set up the bank account details in the account settings. Don't know what I doing wrong, there was a similar site 3-4 years ago that used a similar method.
any help ?
hmmm sorry I think this might be the problem
• Do NOT add products to the ebay wishlist and purchase/bid over 24 hours later - will result in you not earning Rewards.
(created this topic from existing posts, as this offer has been noted several times now)
I have used them a lot of times. Find what you want on eBay
Add to watchlist
Close ebay
Go to cashrewards website
Go to their ebay store from there
Sign in to eBay
Go to watchlist and purchase.
Take a while to show up but it does.
You need to:
1. be logged into the Cashrewards website first
2. click on the eBay (or any other store) promo
3. click on mustard-coloured "Go to Store" button on the right pane
4. wait patiently for this link to load and store cookies on your device

5. your browser would then end up on the eBay page - you should see that the link is an odd code like this:
http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/...psvqabrfht.png
The code after the grey "?clk_rvr_ID=" should represent your individual account details. Don't bother using the one in my pic unless you want your cashreward refund to go to me ;)

I've used cashrewards a few times on different websites and always got a refund some time later. The beauty about the eBay discount is that eBay processes the payment as a full payment and Cashrewards pays the refund based on the processes amount.
i.e. eBay discount of 15%: I paid 85% and eBay paid 15%, and Cashrewards' refund was 2.5% * (my 85% + eBay's 15%).. yayyy negligible profit..
It can be frustrating when payments aren't processed.
I've ordered 3 items in the one transaction the cheaper items were processed but the $450 item did not.
Enquired with cashrewards and got the usual we cant investigate ebay transactions etc.
As far as i can see all items met the requirements for cashback.
Knowing now that it's tracked in the URL "?clk_rvr_ID=" I dont get how it individual items in the one transaction can somehow not be tracked.
Note
I remove Ebay App as it may have affected getting the cash back.
I strictly use the browser through cashback.
No delay. I saved each item to my watch list beforehand then started the process from logging into cashrewards. The item in question was the 2nd item i added to shopping cart when i was going through the process.
It's totally weird imo given how it's supposed to work. A number of users on ozbargain have also experienced their higher priced purchase didnt get cash back. Which has lead some people to believe something dodgy is going on.
Just to share my experience with cash rewards:
1) From everything I've found they are legit. They make money by getting a cut of your purchase from the retailer you are shopping through, so they act as a e-marketing company
2) I've had a number of transactions with them (approx 20) since I opened my account in Sept this year. Only recently did my first transaction become available as cash, so I've currently got $1.44 sitting as "available cash". As someone else has mentioned you need $5 to get through. Given it's now almost December, it takes ages for a transaction to come through as available (though majority of mine were acknowledged within 2 weeks). So just be wary of that, just because the transaction is recorded, don't expect a swift turn around to get the actual money paid.
3) I've heard of people having large value purchases go unrecorded, despite smaller transactions occurring during the same time frame being recorded (make of that what you will). My largest transaction (a few PCs from Dell) went through though, and that was a few thousand dollars.
4) Note that the cash rewards are taken on pre-GST amounts, so don't expect a raw % saving as you'd normally calculate them here in Aus.
Do I think it's worth it? Maybe. It is a pain to remember to go through the cashrewards website when making a purchase, and 3 months later I have yet to see a dollar. I guess I figure there's no real loss to me using it and there is some potential for gain.
I have already redeem $40 paid into my bank.
I have another $45 ready to go .
You be surprised the number of potential saving you can earn.
Coles and woollies and target is in the program and so is bonds, chemist warehouse and a few others.
Nothing to lose by using it but it's just frustrating if you're expecting $10-$20 back on large purchases and for whatever reason it doesnt get recorded.
Three year bump...
What's people's thoughts on cashrewards?
My biggest reluctance in joining is providing personal data to loyalty programs such as these. I just don't know where it will end up.
hint use some old email account. works brilliantly
Ebay has left the scene and no longer be part of this unfortunately.
