This person on TFW claims to have created the blown up collage above... so just crediting him just in case he did.
If it proves to be legit, now is a better time to be a G1 fan than back in G1...
The rumour has been around for a while, from a source that has been getting a fair few right so far for Titans Return... and this toy was already listed in an American Walmart store computer as a Leader class toy... so seeing that it is recycling the cab part of Ultra Magnus and maybe some other parts, I'd say this is pretty likely.
I want to see a God Ginrai version of this complete with God Bomber.
Whens the next toy fair for announcing toys? Maybe when that comes around we might get to see Fortress Maximus and Powermaster Optimus Prime in all their glory.
 Colour me impressed... I really hope that the cab will transform into a smaller Optimus... I might look at Ultra Magnus tonight to see if it is possible. :p
Just when I think I don't want any more Optimus toys..., they pull me back in!

Leaked photos from yesterday's Hasbro event have begun to circulate on the web. I am not reposting them as I (and other sites) were asked to respect an embargo by Hasbro until tomorrow. You will get to see this stuff on BWTF tomorrow in high quality, not poorly Photoshopped and watermarked pictures. Thank you all for your patience.
No doubt along with the rest of the internet
I hope they tell us this is actually Ginrai. We've got enough Optimus Prime toys and code names in computer systems aren't always the toy's name (see Ivan, Max, Paulie, etc ).
I suspect that Hasbro will go with Optimus Prime, as Ginrai isn't as widely known to more casual consumers. No doubt TakaraTOMY will go for Ginrai though. I reckon the inner robot/car will be fashioned after Hi-Q (or human Ginrai for TakTOM). You could imagine it like an upgraded form of an Exo-Suit. :D
Hmmm looks ok but I wish they could add a few more points of articulation to the mold. I mean it's an improvement on the originals articulation, but still Magnus's lack of ankles and wrists really bug me.
Looks like a re-skin of combiner wars Magnus. Interesting but nothing to get too excited about. Those who use names like 'Ginrai' are just flogs.
Freakin awesome!
I thought this was pretty cool till I realised he's a headmaster not a powermaster would of been a nice touch if they could of fitted hi-q into the grill in truck mode.
As for calling him Ginrai because he doesn't separate from the trailer wouldn't that make him God Ginrai?:D
Only mp for me for this guy. I will pass.
For a mould that's based on another mould he looks rather unique. Not bad. I wonder why they called the mini robot APEX, oh wait, no I don't, copyright...
HOLY CRAP!!!! :eek::eek::eek: I'M IN!!!!
This guy is gonna lead my Classics Autobots, as my only other Classics Prime is acting as Motormaster for my Menasor. IMO he looks better then CW Magnus, and is about on par with Takara's Magnus.
Too much holes in the arm/hand area
Life just keeps getting better...
It looks pretty good all things considered. I'm pretty impressed by the base mode.
You've gotta give 'em credit, HTT has gotten their remolds down pat lately.

↑Called it. ;) A shame that they can't use the name Hi-Q, but let's face it, considering that they haven't had any need to use it since 1988, it's an understandable loss. Not everyone can be long-term trademark troll-squatters like Harmony Gold. :p
Super Ginrai.
Cab robot only = Ginrai
Cab robot combined w/ trailer = Super Ginrai
Super Ginrai combined w/ Godbomber = God Ginrai
And the Hasbro equivalent would be...
Cab robot only = Optimus Prime
Cab robot combined w/ trailer = Super Optimus Prime
Super Optimus Prime combined w/ Apex Armour = Apex Armour Optimus Prime
Given they call him Powermaster (and yes I understand why), they should have actually made him a Powermaster :P
He could still be a Powermaster. The power just comes from the mind.
Its 2015 and the articulation on the head robot doesnt look any better than the Headmasters of the 80s. Annoying. I love the original POWERMASTER OPTIMUS yet I need to see a review of this first before deciding on whether he's shelf-space worthy.
Sculpt looks great, but being based on CW Magnus means it will have the same shortcomings preventing it from being as good as it could have been.
That's because articulation peaked around 2010 and is now in decline. As cool as this guys looks, he's got what 6 extra point of articulation over the original?
Remember that the original G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime was originally meant to have a transformable head, but it was abandoned due to budgetary constraints. As you can see, Roller was meant to transform into a robot, then into the head for Super Optimus Prime. This never came to be, and in the end we just got a non-transformable solid head, however, Powermaster Optimus Prime's trailer can store the Super robot's head! This is actually a vestigial feature from the abandoned 'headmaster' gimmick. Go on... try it!
Pretty neat, huh? :D
So the 'headmaster' gimmick is actually a nod (heh) to Powermaster Optimus Prime's original head-gimmick concept. This is what Ono Koujin originally wanted for PM Prime/Super Ginrai, but was pipped at the post because the budget wouldn't allow for it. Hasbro's budget was even smaller than Takara's, hence why PM Prime is basically a cheaper version of the Ginrai toy. Godbomber (and thus God Ginrai) was originally meant to be a more complex toy too, but again budgetary constraints meant that this prototype was never mass produced and the final product was just a shadow of what could have been.
