not overly surprising, like many have said, would have preferred if Vortex looked more like an actual attack chopper.
Pre-ordered at PC. happy chappy.
The 4 rotors on Vortex's back don't look nearly as good as I thought. Blast Off looks fine for a shuttle. I'll probably stick to Hasbro, since I have Swindle already.

Ok that pick just sold me on the UW set. Nice find.
Well I love it a hell of a lot more than Hasbro's lazy attempt. Can't wait to get him in 6 months.
I wonder if we will get a Runination repaint out of this set?
Given the constraints of the basic Deluxe limbs while remaining faithful to the G1 design, I must say that Blast Off looks fantastic. Thankfully for my wallet I'm not interested in Bruticus.
I'm glad I decided to wait for this one. I didn't mind the fact that CW Blast-off was a fighter plane, since it makes sense in a team of military vehicles. I was turned off by the fact that Hasbro made him a redeco of Slingshot. A new head would've been enough.
I'm not such a stickler for G1-accuracy in this case; I want unique moulding for Blast-off.
From the other page of the same magazine (showing Optimus Primal), at the bottom of the Bruticus section says Onslaught will include a loader (trailer part) just like the g1 toy :D
Yeah the Alpha Bravo mold is overstaying it's welcome. I really hope they fix up the colours on that guy too. It's one of the things that has been holding me off getting the CW release.
The shuttle mode Blast-Off is better than I expected but (like Groove) is not groundbreaking stuff. Still intending to get a CW Blast-Off for the thematic sense of it all.
It wouldn't be hard to do a shapeways/3rd party add-on to replace the front of Vortex's helicopter mode since it's literally just balljoints.
I'm pretty happy with Takara's Version of Blast Off for this series. I like that they have at least attempted to make the arms part of the shuttle mode (booster rockets) and has a more accurate head
I was ok with the choice of a fighter plane for the Hasbro version but could not for the life of me understand why they chose Slingshot's head  Alpha Bravo's head would of been an much better choice IMO...it at least has a face plate...
TF Yuki having some fun!

The Allspark has uploaded some hi-res scans of Blast Off from Figure King.
The shuttle mode reminds me of the flat looking shuttle we're getting for Sentinel Prime in TR.

Blast Off looks a little too bright and Vortex is a bit too dark for my liking...
wow that is lots of colors for the whole team :D
Looks fantastic to me. Never had G1 Bruticus so I'm hyped for this one, more so after seeing the colour shots.
Vortex looks black and Blastoff looks mid-brown, which are different colours to the cartoon and toys.
Really getting nervous to preorder from HLJ. Hope the JP preorders open soon.
TF Yuki has posted this on twitter, so hopefully a proper and clearer reveal is going to happen soon:

according to TF Yuki's tweet we will be getting more info from the Wonderfest exhibit
Even the low-res shots have me sold :D
Sweet! I was hoping for a blue Onslaught head and all.
Also impressed the way Onslaught is blue, but Bruticus's thighs are grey from the front.
Bruticus is by far my favourite Scramble City Combiner, can't wait to get this.
Vortex's colour looks fine now, but Blast Off still seems rather light.
That said, it does make me wonder whether they're still tweaking colours, what with the grey prototype figures being shown.
I still think Vortex looks wrong in black, when the cartoon and original toy were both grey.
It makes me think of Incinerator from the 2007 Movie toyline.
He looks more like a dark gunmetal grey in vehicle mode in the first pic valkyrie_76 posted, but he looks much darker in 'bot mode though, almost black.

The colours of Blast Off in that image in the post above look really wrong, which is weird for TakaraTomy, as they've been very good with the colours of the combiners so far.
I dunno. Blast Off looks right at home along side last year's Astrotrain & Blitzwing 2-pack. :p
Blast-Off looks like an chocolate ice-cream sandwich with wings.
Damn.....now I want ice-cream
