That paint scheme looks sweet!
I'm really looking forward to next years 25th anniversary, they've got some great figures coming out. I'm glad they did'nt save smokescreen for next years botcon set like they did with the seekers. Smokescreen looks great as does cosmos, next year wont come soon enough:)
The club forum has a much larger picture, in robot mode, and Smokescreen looks very sweet. Can't post it here (that would be naughty) but it is much more impressive when you see his face.
Oh man Smokescreen looks sweet. I'm hanging for that.
Yay! :D :D :D
I Hope Smokescreen gets better paint apps than Prowl did.
Cosmos looks awesome, and Legends is the right size class for him.
RID Robot Heroes look interesting!
I also hope he has a retooled head featuring the "cowl" which would make him more showlike and also looking different from Prowl/Bluestreak. I like how Binaltech intentionally gave Smokescreen that cowl and made his head look different from Prowl and Bluestreak. But I don't mind if they didn't (after all the G1 toys all had the same head moulds anyway :p).
erm.. what'a cowl? :o
I wish I could reach through this monitor & take it... :D
Cowl :)Quote:

Marvel/Sunbow modifed the heads of Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen to help make them look different from each other.

Prowl has the most toy-accurate head out of the Fairlady Autobots. You can see that they altered Bluestreak's helmet has a different crest and is missing the side lobes ("ears"). Bluestreak also has a more pronounced chin.
Now here's Smokescreen's comic/show model:

You can see that his helmet is shaped like a hooded cowl which does distinguish him further from Prowl & Bluestreak.
Binaltech Smokescreen's head features the cowl.

The head was retooled for Binaltech Bluestreak with the cowl removed.

BT Red Alert's head is a straight repaint of Bluestreak's (no retooling)

And yeah, the artists/animators also made differences throughout the bodies, but I'm just comparing heads here. You get the idea. :)
There's some paint apps around the face, but no retooling.
Won't be hard to custom that though :D
thanks Gok... I figured that is what a cowl is but just wasn't sure :/ however thanks for the re-confirmation.
cowl = horn-like thing :D at the head
rumor is going around that the Club Magazine has pictures of a new Universe BW Dinobot...I hope its not a stuff up like the Cheetor one.
Heh, you know it will be Kup. :D
Cosmos looks so damn awesome. It even looks like the yellow arms should flip out.
As for the big mighty mugg, why? Man, those are the biggest heap of http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...Icons/shit.gif
So it means Smokescreen wont be a CLub Exclusive figure will it? It's going to be mass retail one? Hasbro's not going to pull a seeker episode on us again will they?:mad:
....who cares bout smokesrceen  im more excited bout the cosmos:cool:
Sounds fair to me! :)
I bags Fort Max... ;)
shouldn't be too long til we get our club mag.. the US fans have theirs already! :/
I assume that you guys are refering to the Legends Comos right?
It would be awesome if he was made a deluxe.
While the original Cheetor toy was a solid toy, Dinobot always had some issues - making him a much better candidate for this sort of thing. Granted, the reissues from both Hasbro & Takara got rid of that weird transparent peach plastic, but the ribcage and that random post were still here. I'm looking forward to an updated Dinobot (:
According to Talkie Toaster on the Tformer forums, the Transformers Collectors Club has revealed that the upcoming Smokescreen toy (a redeco of Prowl) will be in the second wave of the 25th anniversary line of Universe toys, along with Armada Hot Shot and Beast Wars Dinobot ().
I don't care about the other two, but I really really really really really really really (x1000) want Dinobot. :)
I have not heard many good things about this upcoming Dinobot figure, apparently he is as screwed up for no reason as the anniversary Cheetor figure...
Yes. He is.
Although he is apparently incredibly mistransformed, so the figure may look better when properly transformed.
I'll get him anyway, though I'll probably try to get the original figure (or at least a reissue, like the 10th anniversary one) so I can compare the two. Also, because original>new mold.
That Dinobot doesn't look too bad actually... but yeah, might look a lot better when transformed properly.
If you're gonna get a Dinobot reissue I would recommend the Telemocha reissue. I personally thinks it looks better, but here's pics of both so you can decide for yourself:
10th Anniversary Dinobot (Hasbro reissue)

Telemocha Dinobot (Takara reissue)

Both come with a free DVD and the Hasbro one comes with a Transmutate part.
Can't see it. Photobucket dude. Don't make me say it every time you post a link. :D
Oh no, I must apologise to you Goktimus, I meant Silver dragon. :)
For some reason, 4chan thinks my ip is banned.
Ok thanks. :)
I can't believe how bad both of the versions (old/new) are. :D
What's up with the chests?
The ones Gok linked look like they were gutted and their guts is just hanging out.
The new one, I dunno what that is supposed to be. Some sort of tumor? :D
I think the best dino beast is cybertron megatron.
Picture removed. Those pictures aren't supposed in be in general release yet. Let other sites host them if they want but don't post them here.
The pictures are exclusive to club members, and most of the Australian members of the club haven't even got their copies of the magazine yet.
